“Eating on the waterfront”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Our server William was very good at taking our order and describing what was available to us for our meal. The Seafood here was excellent. The Deserts and coffee were very good. They could do better with the Punch it's a little too sweet. Inside the floor by the bar was a little slippery ? It's worth going back. I enjoyed the baked oysters. William brought them to me from the Atlas side of the restaurant. The building is actually two restaurants on the right side is the fish house and on the left side is the atlas. The American pickers were here and did a show were they traded a model boat for some things the owners had. That boat is now on display in the fish house.

“Lovely location and wonderful food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

On the water in Pensacola Bay, this restaurant has 2 parts - an oyster bar (Atlas) and the Fish House restaurant. We had an outside table looking across a marina to the Pensacola Bay Bridge - very nice view, quiet spot. Food was excellent (Grits a Ya Ya - their signature dish) and shrimp. Both thoroughly enjoyed! Fresh seafood choices galore, good service (both fast and efficient), wine, beer - good desserts choices!

“Great food, atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

My husband and two friends visited the restaurant for the first time. I had the Grits A YaYa, a house speciality, and they were delicious. The shrimp was cooked just right and the grits were the best I've ever eaten. My husband had a steak, which he really enjoyed. The service was superb. Our server was right on top of everything. My husband judges his service by how many times he has to ASK for his tea glass to be refilled ... our server kept his glass full at all times! I was really impressed.
We sat outside near the marina, which was really neat. The view was awesome of Escambia Bay. They also had a band and singer, who was really good.
We will definitely return if we're in Pensacola again.

“Good grits!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

This place was just W-O-W! We came for a late lunch, all because of the ads we saw for the grits. We were not disappointed. Everything was great! We had fried oysters, shrimp, cheese grits and collards. Everything was just superb! I often salt and season restaurant food but not this. It was all perfect!

“Baked Oysters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Trip Advisor says I need 50 characters or more, but all I really need to say about this place is "Excellent Baked Oysters and an equally excellent view." Staff was friendly, prices are fair. Only complaint is that the drinks are made too sweet and taste like mixes instead of fresh juice. But that isn't uncommon anywhere you go.
