I have eaten here five or six times with friends. It never gets any better. The food is just awful.

“Not worth the price”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2010

Service was OK, not outstanding, but the food was not good. I don't understand all the reviews that say it's good because the chef owns it. That obviously has nothing do to with the food quality. I agree with the post about Applebees. That's about right if not a tad generous.

“Best place in Pensacola”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2010

There were 7 of us celebrating Father's Day on June 19th 2010. Each of us had something different and it was all wonderful. The service was outstanding, we loved Ruby!

“I found a jewel today”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2010

Went with a friend to try for the first time thinking it was a more of a sandwich place. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised! The menu is very impressive, expecially for a small bistro. The atmosphere is great for nice lunch, and romatic enough for a casual romatic dinner. We had the cobb salad, the black and blue ceasar, and the chocolate mousse cake. The dressing that came with the cobb was just okay, but I hardly used any since the shrimp salad that was part of the whole thing was so delicious and provided enough dressing, and you can get any dressing you want. Also the steak on the other salad was melt in your mouth perfect. If it is any sign of how good the dinner steak is, is is probabaly supperb. The service was great. The prices are a little high, but comparable to others in the city. The chocolate mousse cake was very good. I can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu the mouthwatering menu!

“Great Gulf-Coast restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2010

The man who owns this place is a chef and he runs and cooks the restaurant himself. His waiters are polite and nice and although it looks like very little from outside it is nice inside, and has a great wine list and menu. He is known in the gulf coast chef circles for his creativity with desserts and his special menu items. He has great miniature herb biscuits that are served with whipped herbed butter and some really yummy antipasti. Unlike most restaurants in Pensacola, they will take reservations. If you are there around lunchtime there is a special lunch menu, and brunch on Sunday is great. I included a URL but it's not an official site, but is a menu that the University faculty use and it gives a feel for the type of food served. The menu changes, so it's best to call if you want specifics.
