This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let the looks fool you. It's adjacent to the famous Joe Patti's Seafood Market, but almost hidden away so that you wouldn't see it if you weren't looking for it. But inside this unassuming eatery is some of the best local seafood you'll find, at very reasonable prices. It is obviously popular with the local lunch crowd (they weren't open for dinner during the off-season -- don't know if they are in the summer). My fried shrimp and scallops combo was served with fries and cheese grits. The seafood was cooked perfectly and with just the right amount of breading, not overbearing. They're very lightly seasoned, and the portions are ample. It's definitely no fussy -- plastic forks and spoons, and the grits came in a styrofoam bowl. In other words, it's the typical little seafood shack by the water that every oceanside town has.
While you're there, check out the seafood market next door -- always busy with every kind of seafood fresh off the boats. Plus there's a food truck outside serving fresh beignets.
