Ignore the confusion of ordering (get your drink from the back, stand in line, try to figure out where the line really is). There will be a line, because the food is worth it. Tables are scattered around this small gas station turned grocery/cafe. Our group had: wild rice soup which had quite a lot of flavor packed into it, which is not common; tortilla soup which was really taco soup but tasty; minestrone which packed some heat. I'd order any of them again. We also shared quinoa salad which had sun dried tomatoes, olives, feta--a very tasty combo that had me scraping up the last bits; a chicken salad sandwich that again, had more flavor than most chicken salad I've had; and a meatball sandwich. Order this every chance you get. It's made from a family recipe that obviously made this family look forward to dinners for a few generations. But it's also huge, so maybe order this with a friend or a plan to save some for later.
I gave them an average for atmosphere because you dine inside a grocery, but, hmm, that could be considered an interesting and eclectic atmosphere!
It's funky but it's definitely a place we'll go again.
