This was my third visit to Pensacola and I had heard (and read) about this place. It's a very cool concept that can only work here...a building that extends about a block long that looks like its right out of the French Quarter. You pay the $5 cover to gain entry and enjoy over 5 different bars, clubs and outdoor venues. You get your hand stamped for in/out access at the many doors. My friends and I arrived a bit early for Saturday night (10:30) so it was not really crowded and looked like a college crowd. One bar had dueling pianos, one was a country theme, another had a band playing and then outside on the back patio was another bar, live band and then a whole concert going on that required a wristband for entry. We ended up at the nightclub with the DJ so we could dance. By midnight, this place was jam packed! The DJ played a good mix if dance, pop and hip hop across the last 3 decades. The drinks were crazy cheap - $7 for a beer and rum & coke! The crowd - a good mix old, young, military, bachelorettes, tourists and something in between. My only complaint was the western style bathroom stalls and the SMOKING. They still permit smoking in clubs and bars which was a major nuisance. We left with tons of laughs, great dancing and excellent people watching stories! Go visit while you're in Pensacola and crave some nightlife.
