It is an old fish camp with white linens, a world class wine list, and friendly service. “Get a reservation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

So, after reading reviews, I decided to get a reservation for a Sunday night, week before Memorial weekend. Didn't think I'd need one, but called anyway. They said they could SQUEEZE us in at 5:30pm (was aiming for 5). 3 adults, 2kids, and a baby. OK. Get there and there's no reservation. OOPS. Super crowded so we wait outside on patio for maybe 5-10 mins then we're in.

As another reviewer mentioned, our waitress was the friendly and competent Amanda. We sat outside under the covered porch and it was very pleasant. The seats did not match each other -- which I only mention b/c the older ones really needed to get tossed! All the menu items appear delicious (and slightly pricey) and we order.

I got day's special $27 Tilapia (GOOD) topped with butter sauce & crabmeat (EXCELLENT) sided with broccoli and rice (OK). Wife got $17 Shrimp and Grits b/c I read a good review about it here. She said it was EXCELLENT and it was a large portion. Other diner got Ribeye Steak and said it also was EXCELLENT. Kids had chicken tenders and popcorn shrimp -- both fresh and yummo -- with some awesome looking steak fries. ALL made in-house.

Overall pretty good food and good atmosphere. Pleasantly noisy for families with small kids. Will come again next time nearby (Big Lagoon S.P.).

“Fisherman's Corner's New J.W. FINZ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

We went to dinner this evening at J.W. FINZ in Orange Beach. It's a great new restaurant by Jim Green of the "Fisherman's Corner" on Perdido Key. Jim's done it again the food and libations were fantastic ... we recommend and wish him well. Picture is from dinning deck at sundown1 — eating dinner at Zeke's Landing.

“Even better this time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

We came to Fisherman's Corner last year for Sunday Brunch and liked it a lot. This year we made a reservation (a must...there was over an hour wait for walk-ins) and came on a Tuesday night. We started with the shrimp corn chowder which was fabulous. Then we had Shrimp Diane (shrimp and mushrooms in butter wine sauce over angel hair pasta) and Creole Linguine (shrimp and crawfish in creole sauce over linguine). Both were absolutely delicious and such a big helping that we brought some home. The prices are very reasonable. Except for steaks, most entrees are $17-18. Definitely one of the must-go-to restaurants in Perdido Key.

“Second time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

I ate dinner at Fisherman's Corner one night during vacation. This was the second time we've visited. We made reservations for 5:30 on a Monday and were immediately seated at a table. Glad we did, because by the time we left, the place was packed. The service was a bit rocky at first, our waitress was probably new. It took a while to get our drinks and our order. Our table split the best fried green tomatoes we've had - we were all in agreement. My husband had the crawfish and it was way too hot for his liking, but he did order it spicy. I had the grouper Reuben, which I loved. Definitely worth going if you are in the Perdido area.

“You have to try this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

You may have to persevere to find this place, tucked under Perdido Key bridge, but it is well worth it. The outside looks like a shack and you wonder why the reviews are so great when it is run down and nothing much to look at! Our son is training at Pensacola so he was the one who brought us here and the first night we tried to eat here someone had run over the water main so they were not taking any diners. Came back the next night and waited an hour for a great table inside. They have a patio and we sat and had a bottle of $17 Chardonnay whilst we waited on our table. Wine was pretty decent Australian bottle. I had the crab stuffed mushrooms and my husband had the snapper and jambalaya special and our son had the seafood platter. All were absolutely delicious. You just have to try this place.
