“Great Food - Poor Hosting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

I would have never thought that I would write a review about this restaurant that was not A-One!
Thursday, October 4, 2012 we went down to Fisherman's Corner for dinner. I will admit that the place was packed. We put our names down on the waiting list and was told that it would be 15 to 20 minutes. We sat outside in an area where a young lady was serving wine (at a price). We enjoyed talking with this lady as she is also a teacher and my wife was in education. The hostess came out one time and announced the name craig. I asked her what she said and she said Craig so I asked two men sitting with our group and they got up and went in to eat. My wife and I sat there for another 20 minutes before I went in and asked what the problem was. I was then told that she had just forgotten to call our name as it was still on the list. This was over 45 minutes since we had placed our name on the list. The two men named Craig, names were just under ours. We were then sat at the worse table in the restaurant. This table is by the Ice Machine and Office and you cannot move in that area. By the way this was the second time we have been placed at this horrible table while dinning here. There was nothing done to compensate for the oversight and long wait. Under good management something would have been done like a free desert or something.
I know that at the present time this restaurant is heading up to be one of our top dinning experiences in Pensacola, however without making arrangements for seating (both prior to dinning and mainly in dinning) it will be hard to keep people comming in and being shoved around.

“It is worth fighting with your GPS to find it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Even though it looked a bit like a dive on the outside, the food was fabulous! The pictures I am posting will speak for themselves. The fried green tomato appetizer was very memorable. The shrimp and grit ball dish is their claim to fame and was delicious. The scallops and crab cake were great too. Not pictured was the grouper and shrimp entree' which was pricey but lots of food and it looked wonderful! The desserts were nothing special, so get an appetizer instead.
You have to turn right just before the base of a bridge when you are heading west, or a quick left turn as you come off the bridge going east.

“Best in Perdido Key”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

We were in Perdido Key the end of September and tried quite a few restaurants in the area. After reading reviews here we decided to go here and were not disappointed. The food and service did not disappoint. Had really good Po-boys, both fried oyster and fried shrimp and had their not to be missed fried green tomatoes and they were the best we ever had. Everything was so great we went back for a second trip and had an equally great experience. It is located between the beginning of the bridge and Publix and worth searching for. Will definitely go again when we visit Perdido Key.

“Absolutely amazing seafood”

Great locally sourced seafood, would definitely recommend this place. May not look like a lot from the outside, but it is divine.
