The maid service at this hotel is pretty much non existent . They come in and make up your beds and take out the trash, that's about it. We had to call the front desk on two occasions to get wash clothes. They don't clean the floors or the bathrooms. I never walked barefoot while in my room. I always made sure I had flip flops on. The balcony always had a bad smell when you are out there and when it rained it flooded our balcony, so we couldn't even sit outside while it was raining. After the rain stopped the cracks in the top of the balcony dripped for a long time. I would suggest hair nets for the staff that comes into the guest rooms. Somebody has a bad, bad shedding problem. There was black hair all over the bed, the shower, the floor, you name it black hair was on it and I found that to be gross. This hotel does not have an elevator. That is a major pain. We had no problems with the staff. Everyone was nice and courteous. After I had read all the bad stuff about Betty (The general manager) I was quite worried. But, she was nice and helpful. The pool was cleaned daily so that is a plus. The only problems we had was the cleaning rooms issue. It could've been cleaner. I'm not a picky person nor am I a clean freak but this place was a little on the dirty side. Also It would've been nice to have an elevator. This is an older hotel in need of some repairs and upgrades. Given the chance I probably wouldn't stay here again... Oh yea and the parking lot is small! Good luck with that!

The room was very clean. We were impressed with the maintenance crew who were up early in the morning cleaning the grounds & the pool. Our room was cleaned daily and given fresh clean towels. A nice quiet place directly on the beach. Its not a luxury hotel but a good old fashion "Mom & Pops" hotel.

The view from the room was excellent. The room was fine. Water pressure in the shower was low. The room was clean though. Met the owner and she was nice.

We just returned from Casa Loma, totaly enjoyed our stay, Janet was lovely in the office as were all the other staff members. Yes the floor was a little sandy but WE brought the sand in ( I read the reviews and brought my own broom..lol). The housekeeping staff was very friendly and always gave me extra coffee each morning, loved getting a bag of ice free each day. I even enjoyed no elevator...helped to make up for some of the extra goodies we were eating..lol.Casa Loma is not a 5 star motel but its good for the price and you cant beat the view, the pool was great and the clean. Lots of famlies there good place to be....Thanks Casa Loma for an enjoyable time.
