“Don't rent thru best beach getaways!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012 via mobile

The pools, waterslides in the shade are a great idea!! However a lifeguard during peak seasons would be a great addition. The hot tub shud be in a separate adult area. The deck around pool area is severely congested, barely any chaises for parents to watch their kids.
Elevators- hmm this was a disaster!! I can't begin to even explain it. There are 2 series of elevators u must take to get oi yur condo. 1 from parking deck to Lobby. Then another in the building. The amount of ppl when compared to the elevators is ridiculous! It took us 1.5 hrs to get a cart & get our stuff into the room. Another 30 min to be able to return the cart.
Our rental was on the 9th floor from 'best beach getaways', probably paid close to $500/night for a 2 bdrm. The entite place was pretty dirty Overall. The kitchen was very poorly equipped (one non stick pan had rust in it!!). They provided absolutely no dish soap, 2packs of DW detergent, nothing to clean or dry the dishes with- there was no way all 5 if us cud even drink water with the amount of glasses they had!!
Dust everywhere! The fan in the LR had an inch of filth on it!!! The couches had visible stains that looked disgusting, didn't even wanna sit on them!
Walls were not painted or touched up in years!
Patio furniture not only was old, rusty & dangerously wobbly but didn't even match each other!!!
The bathrooms had 'facial' soap that was worse than motel soap! Forget shampoo!
There was a lamp that was made of glass that was broken- right where the switch is! Had to wait for them to come get it out, they didn't even replace it during our stay!
When I asked to have extra DW detergent, they said they don't normally
Give extra, but made an exception (what?!?!)
So note to self: if u want motel quality service, amenities, cleanliness... Then rent thru BBG but u will still pay high dollar!! Splash itself could use a few improvements but mainly in the deck area & elevator situation.

Very roomy condos and a great place for kids. Beautiful beachfront condos all with balconies. Location makes easy street access and it is not located on the congested side of Front Beach Blvd.

We had major hotel problems, and walked into Splash to get a rate. They gave us a discount and was very nice and accommodating and we stayed there for 4 nights. Beautiful room. Perfect. Dishwasher didn't work, but everything else perfect. If you have little kids you will like the pools, but we had teenagers and did not like the pools. Not good pools for adults or teenagers.

This place is beautiful and clean and the staff is very nice. It's VERY family oriented though, so good if you have little children, bad if you have teen agers that are interested in meeting other people their age. Families with older kids don't seem to stay here. My kids were disappointed. The pool area sucks; most of the pool area is under the building so it never gets sun and it's freezing. Once again though, it's meant for children and trying to protect children from getting sunburnt. Our room though was absolutely gorgeous and our view was gorgeous.

This hotel was so fun!! It was a bit pricy, but it was worth all of the money!!! The rooms were great, so was the game room! I loved it here :)

I was really excited to book this trip for my husband, two kids (4 & 6), mother, and I. But after being there the first day of check-in, 2 pools had closed for 8 hours so it made it over croweded in the other pools. All pools were extremely COLD! It didn't matter how hot it was, the pools were entirely too cold to stay in. My kids lips turned purple and they were sheivering! We rented the chairs with umbrella's on the beach, and there were so many rude people that put their umbrella's and chairs in front of us and on top of us! So then we couldn't see our children play by the water and relax! It was NOT a relaxing atmosphere! We go to Panama every year and this has been the worst experince ever! Rude staff and rude people that stayed there! I never complain about things but because my children were ready to leave this place, yes I thought I should write a review! After staying for 7 days we would normally not want to go home, but we were more than ready! It felt like it was so up tight there instead of relaxing! The pools were gated and locked with a lock early every night, the game room had half the games broke, I NEVER seen a dive-in theater, the grill/bar closed at 5, freezing pools, broke jacuzzi, our room was ok, and there were roaches spotted around our door too our condo several times! Also it felt as the rules were way over the top when we were there to relax and enjoy vacation!!! It is not worth the money to stay there at all! The place was over crowed and not enough seating around the pools etc. Also the day we were leaving, the beaches had closed due to TS Debbie, well Splash closed all their pools with a lock, that was covered! I thought that was nuts being the beach was closed and they were ruining peoples vacations! Upon leaving I notice all the resorts near had open pools with people swimming and trying to still enjoy their vacation with the treat of the TS! Also remember the pools are covered and there was NO lighten nor thunder! Just alittle light rain here and there!

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!!

i want to say that before i booked splash i read a ton of reviews even after reading i decided to give it a shot(we have 2 small kids ages 2 & 4). it wasnt horrible but not the best ever. the condo was great and i rented it off of vrbo easy check in and out. she also let us check in early on saturday so didnt really have a problem finding carts but the elevator on saturday was crazy. my parents were on the 20th floor and my dad walked the stairs several times. my mom and dad also got stuck on the elevator on the east side on sun or mon for over 15 minutes(with way to many people in the elev). the pools are cold unless u have a really hot and beautiful day. i also have a 15 year old step son and he did not enjoy this place. the only thing he liked was the arcade(which cost me alot of money) and it is very small.. the bowling alley never worked. my kids loved the lazy river, pools, and little water park. they had kid activities like watching a movie in the pool and tydee shirts..some things cost extra some things included..wasnt a wash of a trip but for a family with small kids it was a hit!
