We went for spring break for a week. Our total for the whole week was 1350, on the second night we had some friends in our room without wristbands. At 2 30am security knocks on the door and get all of us out of the room and let's us know our guest has to have wristbands that cost 40 dollars a night. We just paid 1350 to stay there and we couldn't have 4 guest just hanging out, not staying. Anyway they gave us a last warning before eviction letter. The next day I get a phone call from the front desk saying house keeping reported a crack in our bathroom door and we owed $250 in the next hour or we get kicked out. We refused to give them anymore money and threaten to get a lawyer even though it would cost more. Well after DAYS of being interupted by staff they finally said we didn't have to pay it. The security is very rude and rooms were disgusting. If you walked on the carpet your feet bottoms were black. Requested and paid for a ocean view room and didn't get it and also didn't get our money back. Tiki bar was fantastic. The main problem was they try to rape you for all of your money. I'd suggest staying somewhere else (calypso)

Me and some of my friends went to Panama City for spring break in March 2008. We stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon. I will be honest and say that we did have some problems when we first arrived. Me and my friends decided that instead of carrying all our cash on us to pay for the hotel that we would just put our money on visa gift cards to be safe. When we arrived at the Sandpiper to check in they told us that we could not pay with visa gift cards, so not only are we having trouble with paying for ours room but then to top it all off the whole entire strip of Panama lost power... So needless to say it got a little hectic with a bunch of pissed off people ofr awhile. After about an hour everything was figured out though and they did help us out a lot. The hotel rooms were not the best, but hey when its spring break, nobody really cares because your not in your room very much anyways. This hotel had so many things to do! They had a normal outdoor pool, a hot tub, another outdoor pool with a big slide, and indoor lazy river, its own grocery store, its own tiki bar, its own gift shop etc. I was eneer bored at this place! Every night they had events going on, and every night the tiki bar was filled with tons and tons of people with good music and a bar! They also are right on the strip of Panama with lots of place to go shopping and things to do all the time, and the hotel sits right on the beach!
I would definently suggest this place as a great place to go for spring break to have a great time! As for family vacations i dont recommend going during spring break season. It gets pretty crazy, but if your looking to have a really good time, then this is the place to go!

After coming on summer vacations to PCB for the last 20 years of my life, the best place I have ever stayed has to be the Sandpiper Beacon! It owns up to the motto "The Fun Place to Stay". It is awesome for families of any age! I feel safe with my children there. There is PLENTY things to do while you are there! You never have to leave the facility! The "on site deli" is the bomb!! The ruben is the best. Clean location, fast service, & superior staff! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone & everyone. It makes vacation memories you will never forget!

We were planning a trip to Florida and my cousin told me about this place. We tried it out and we love it! We keep going back. It has everything there, the staff is very friendly, a lot of pools to choose from. You never have to leave. We love it and look foward to going every year.

We are local to the panama city beach area. My oldest daughter , whose birthday is in December, has always wanted to celebrate her birthday with a pool party. The weekend of her bday the weather was awful! I decided to have a girls night out-sleepover-pool party at the Sandpiper. The party was a huge sucess! The indoor pool and lazy river is fabulous! The staff is friendly and accomadatingand the on groung security was reassuring. The girls really enjoyed the mini golf and game room. And being near great shopping and great resturants didn't hurt either! We loved it so much we went back in January for my other daughters birthday! Thanks Sandpiper...We will be back!
