We stayed at The Sandpiper for 5 days following the rally. Everyone was friendly and helpful then as we checked things out much to our surprise this place is loaded with CATS. We counted 7 and we have never had this problem at any other place we have stayed (usually Sugar Sands) Worst part was havin to take my wife by a local clinic to get checked out being she is allergig to CATS. truthly don't think we would return unless something would be done about the Cats

We were at the resort for 4 days & I liked it and it was very family friendly. We decided to extend our visit from 5 to 7 days. No problem still. However, on day 5 the Harley Davidson motorcycle festival arrived. No warning to us or anything. First the hotel blocked off all of the handicapped parking as well as 70% of the overall parking fir the motorcycle festivities. No there was not much paking fir normal hotel guests. The main bar/club Tiki which was family/children friendly changed to a biker bar with live bands & very loud announcements telling th guests to get neked & talking profanely about women's breasts. Children were present during all of this with many drunks & puking all over. Very loud motorcycle noise became a 24 hour event where people could not sleep.

The staff were not concerned with the hotel guests or children. What was an excellent vacation was trashed where we couldn't leave fast enough.

Everything you need at the resort or very close to resort. Staff is very accomodating and friendly. Our room was very close to the ocean, outdoor pools and activity/lounge area. You are very close to the beach and ocean. The beach area is BEAUTIFUL and they have various types of rentals such as lounge chairs. We met lots of nice people who like us really enjoy staying at the Sandpiper on vacation. There are pools, an inside slide pool ride for the adults and kids.

Can't say enough about the Sandpiper Beacon Resort! This was our first time staying there and we could not have picked a better place! The staff was excellent and very helpful & friendly from day one! Our boys (ages 3 & 6) had a blast from face painting to a scavenger hunt! We definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will be staying there again!! The rate was very affordable and plenty of activities even in October!! It is truly "The Fun Place"!
