“Good place to watch the boats come in, and have a drink”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2011

We went to the Boathouse in June, and it was a pleasant experience. Great seafood and drinks (Lobster BLT, mint mojitos and raspberry mojitos, and blackened tilapia sandwich).

Fun time, and probably the best meal we ate at PCB.

“Fun for adults and kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2011

We are a family of 4 (2 kids, ages 5 & 12). I had read good reviews about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try, we also wanted sushi. There was a small wait time, about 15-20 minutes but because of the restaurants location we were able to take a walk along the pier and let the kids feed the fish (fish food is provided for 50 cents along the pier). We were seated outside so we had a great view of all the boats. The kids were able to watch the large Pirate boat, that gives tours, load and set sail so they loved that.
We ordered a mixture of sushi, seafood and a kids meal. The sushi was ok, wasn't bad but wasn't great. It's also only served on Thurs.- Sun. something we weren't aware of, so we almost missed out. The seafood platter was really good, some of the best fried fish I've had. I'm from Louisiana so that's saying a lot! It was also more reasonably priced, we paid 1 1/2 times more for something similar at Dirty Dicks and wasn't impressed. While we were waiting an in-house magician was walking around doing magic tricks and making balloon animals for people waiting, the kids loved that part.
There is an outdoor bar, which was playing music. Overall it was a nice atmosphere for adults while being entertaining enough to keep the kiddos occupied. We would recommend to friends if ever in the area.

“Great scenic view, great food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

We stopped in at the Boatyard after the sunset pirate cruise to use out 15% coupon. We had to wait 30 minutes which wasn't too bad.
We were seated on the top deck with a wonderful view and a great breeze.
Our waitress was very sweet and went out of her way to make us happy. Our 6 year old is a very picky eater and she made a special effort to get him rolls to eat and coloring pages and crayons to keep him busy.
While we waited a balloon artist came around and did magic tricks and made balloon animals for the kids.
Once the food arrived it was even better than expected. I had the seafood platter which included fish, shrimp and oysters. I had a generous side of sweet potato fries. So delicious and very generous portions. We had to box up left overs yo bring home. My husband had the shrimp platter which he said was delicious. My 8 year old son had a cheeseburger and fries from the kids menu which also was very generous in size.
we were very pleased with the entire experience. Great service, great food, and great atmosphere with a wonderful view.

“Better than your average tourist spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2011

Really fun location. We sat outside by the bar and enjoyed the ambiance and lively atmosphere. Food was better than your usual tourist trap, and service was fairly prompt. Price is pretty consistent with other restaurants in the area. We'll be back.

Great for families. Excellent food and service. Fishing boats came in while we were eating with a ton of snapper. Kids loved it.
