All-adult family of four came here with high expectations. We ordered the black-bean crab dip for an appetizer. It was too salty to eat. Iced tea was very weak. My glass of $6 Reisling was a half of a small glass. Then for our meals-oh boy! My mother ordered a filet mignon well done. It was medium at best. My father ordered crab cakes, which were very fishy tasting, and he could not stomach eating them. I also had a crab cake with the combo seafood meal I was splitting with my husband. It was nasty. The waitress said they ran out of mashed potatoes and brought us fries without asking if that was okay. Fries!! For a $30 meal?? If I wanted fries, I'd have went to McDs for A LOT less money!! I complained. The manager took off the crab dip, my father's crab cake dinner and gave us 10% off. Our bill was still $37 and mom and dad's bill was $35. That is too much for a very, very unsatisfactory meal. The rest of our seafood combo was not much better than the crab cakes. We had the shrimp, scallops and grouper grilled. It was barely done and a bit slimy. The broccoli side dish was overcooked and not even warm. So I would definitely say don't waste your time or money and eat somewhere else like J. Michael's.
