“Rustic Seafood Shack Right on the Bayou”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Bayou Joe's is what I would call a "seafood shack," for it really is a shack that sits on a pier out over the water in Massalina Bayou in Panama City. We came in on a "ferry boat" cruise out of Bay Point, and stepped right onto the dock and thus, into the restaurant. It was a good experience. The food is very good. The prices are fair. You can get lunch for under $10.00 (the special) or spend more. The desserts are VERY good!!
Over 30 of us descended on the tiny restaurant at once, and they served our boat party, as well as regular customers, with good attitudes. It took a bit longer than normal to be served, but not bad at all for the crowd. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is unique and accommodating.

“One of my Favourites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Bayoe Joe is one of my favorite restaurants in Panama CIty. When you can't face the crowds of St Andrews, Bayoe Joe is a great backup for great food and a good price. The Island shrimp are great!

Awesome atmosphere... throw food out to the catfish and watch the frenzy!

“On The Water”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We found this great place. Wasn't to sure about the area it was in, but it turned out to be more than we thought. Like a little step back in time, the place has history behind it along with great food. We were here at night in the off season so it wasn't busy. You sit in a patio/porch area over the water in this marina. The waitress was so great and had loads of personality. The food was wonderful. You have to try the Trash Burger...it has a little of everything, and I mean everything. The one dessert," The Drunk and Ugly" was awesome. This place is a little hard to find, but definitely worth the trip. You really need to try it.

“lots of fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

This is absolutely the most fun dive I've ever been to! The setting is great- a funky old restaurant built at the end of a rickety dock.( you feel like you're going to fall off the edge as you walk to the restaurant) Sitting in the dining room is like being on a boat, surrounded by water. Our server was a certified insane redhead- she kept the whole dining room in stitches- it felt like we had all become friends by the time we left! Add all this and throw in wonderfully prepared FRESH seafood, you"ve got a not to be missed place to go!!

“Really loved the environment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

I ate here with some friends and truthfully really enjoyed it. Its small and comfortable. It was later in the evening (dark outside) we sat by the sliding glass walls and could see the fish swimming below. The food was good but overall what made it worth it was the environment.
