“Best golf resort and golf academy ever !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012

Visited Innisbrook in July last year and had great golf lessons with Director of Golf Instructions, Dawn Mercer. Because of her we returned again this February to learn more.
And it is a long way to travel from Norway to Innisbrook to get pro lessons in golf! But it is money well spent. Ms Mercer has the ability to help you take your game to a higher level no matter where you start from.

We had a one bedroom suite with full kitchen on the second floor. They will help carry your things and show you around.
The beds are wonderful and housekeeping is very good. They seem to know your schedule and work accordingly. Everyone is very helpful and service minded. They will pick up garbage because they care about their surroundings, not because it's their spesific job.

We played all 4 golf courses during our stay and they were all in perfect condition. They are different and challenging in their own way.

We had breakfast every day at the Island Clubhouse. Phil took excellent care of us again, as did the other staff at the Turnberry Pub every morning.

We will be back for more golf lessons and play in the summer!

This was our first trip to Innisbrook and we were very impressed. Our suite was very nice with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Small apt size appliances were out of date but we ate at the restaurants so didn't use them much. Nice furnishings.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The golf courses were incredible. I was surprised at the reasonable prices at the Osprey clubhouse and Turnberry pub.
The shuttle service was very convenient and quick! It was nice to be able to enjoy a few glasses of wine and not worry about driving.
Definitely worth a return trip!

THis is a fantastic golf resort that hosts the PGA Transitions tournament in Mid March. There are great golf courses that accomodate all different skill levels. There are mutiple on site restaurants. They have a beautiful pool facility, a great spa and wonderful excercise facility. They also have a world class tennis facility .You don't need to golf to enjoy this destination but it is primarily a golf destination.

This is my second experience at a Salamander resort. Although, my group did not stay at the resort, we played the Copperhead course. The PGA play here in the next month. This was a great experience. The course was in incredible shape. The views were terrific. One of the prettier courses that I have played. Will definitely play again and also check out the other courses on the resort.

After golf, we had dinner at the Salamander. We were able to sit outside at night in February which was very nice since it was 30 degrees at home in Ohio. The food was great. There are a couple fire places and outside heaters.

A beautiful well-maintained property but the rooms are tired and the staff appears insensitive.

The rooms were considerably more expensive than other accommodations in the area and there is an additional daily resort fee. In-room wi-fi was available for an additional charge of $25 per day.

All things conisdered, the room was not a good value for the rate charged.

I stayed at this Resort during a business conference for about a week. I was greeted by a door leaning up against the wall upon arrival at my cottage - not the best welcome, but a new entrance door was installed within the week. My one bedroom suite was more like a studio apartment - an outstanding value for the rate I paid! It was very clean (I am EXTREMELY picky about cleanliness). I particularly liked the fact that the bed was completely dressed in white (including the duvet) which suggested to me Innisbrook had nothing to hide, specifically, bed bugs. The sheets were clean and crisp, but comfortable. The kitchen was clean, and completely outfitted for an extended stay. It was quiet, and I enjoyed that. Yes, with over 900 acres, it can be a bit of a challenge getting around without a car if there are fewer shuttles operating, but the drivers were so knowledgeable and ALWAYS pleasant. I enjoyed the food (prices a bit steep, but its a resort) and the Indaba Spa for a day. I would definitely recommend this place to friends/family and wouldn't mind staying again.

Room Tip: Be sure to clarify what will be charged to your credit card when checking in to avoid "costly&q...
