“You get what you pay for.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

I recently stayed at The Harbor Club. I only paid $99/night, so that explains what I got. The rooms are dated. I stayed 3 nights and never received maid service - no beds made, no clean towels, no replenished shampoo/conditioner. I requested a 4:30 am wake-up call for a flight I had to catch at the airport 1.5 hours away - I got the wake up call at 3:30 - an hour before the time I requested. I couldn't wait to get home. There is nothing in this town unless you're into golf. The bedding is cheap and had scratchy balls on the sheets. They also don't have wifi. Who doesn't have wifi these days? If you needed to use wifi - you had to go sit in the check-in area. There was not even the option to purchase it for use in your room. The area appears to be hit hard from the bad economy. Very depressing area. I don't suggest this place. I would pay some extra $$$ to get a better = more enjoyable stay with good accommodations.

Room Tip: Stay at the Hammock Beach Resort

We spent a weekend & didn't want to leave. Peaceful, beautiful setting a few miles inland, but well worth it.Make sure you go to the European Village. Rent or bring your bikes, as there's a lovely bike trail along the water for quite a good distance. I didn't cover the whole thing, so I'm not sure how long it is. Slide up under the falls in the pool & let the water hit your neck & shoulders. Heavenly outdoor hydrotherapy. I spent a lot of time doing just that. Not a rowdy party place, which suited us just fine. Laid back, cool & serene. Got some stunning photos. I'm just not sure why this won't also come up under Celebrity Resorts, because that's the name of it.

I traveled there with my husband and son. The suites were extremely spacious and had all the trappings of home. The unit even had it's own washer and dryer. The master bedroom and bathroom provided a large and private area, with a large hot tub and standup shower. The unit has a complete kitchen with dishwasher and a large dinning room. The screened in porch was exceptional and provided the whole family a place for hours of entertainment.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The pool was great fun and it took some effort to get the kids out. The activity center had some nice things for the kids. We'll surely stay again and would highly recommend it to others.........

We enjoyed delightful week (June15, 2003) at the Harbour Club in Palm Coast, FL.. the units are fairly large with 2-bedrooms, 2-bathrooms, full kitchen and a large screened porch.. the resort is part of a rather large resort complex previously owned by ITT Sheraton and includes a resort hotel and a marina on the intercoastal waterway.. an outdoor pool, miniature golf, shuffle board, bicycle rental and an activity center are among the resort's amenities.. a TERRRIFIC 3-mile paved path skirts the intercoastal from the resort into the town center for strolling. biking, roller blading, etc..

Over the intercoastal bridge (a $2 fee going, but free on the return trip) is an area referred to by the Spanish as the 'Hammocks'.. a considerable amount of development is on-going here with a major golf club and residential home building.. here on Jungle Hut Road is a secluded, WONDERFUL beach with soft cinnamon colored sand, swooping Pelicans and frolicking Dolphins..

About an hour's drive north is ST. Augustine, the nation's oldest settlement.. along the way on A1A (the scenic coastal highway) is a state park and and oceanarium, both worth visiting..

To the south about an hour's drive is the frantic activity of Daytona Beach which includes NASCAR racing, flee markets and shopping.. not to be missed, again along A1A, is the community of Flagler Beach and many freely accessible public beach facilities where we enjoyed picnic lunches from the nearest Publix deli..

Rooms were nice and the grounds were well done, however, it appears that the management is saving money on Maintenance.

The pool was beautiful but the heater never worked and it was ice cold all week. Every staff member we asked told us a different story about when it would be fixed and how long it had been broken.

One day the keys to the padlock on the hot tub gate were lost. Took a whole day to get permission to cut the $5 padlock so guests could get in.

Activities Center often was not open for use.

Very sad when the best part of the room is the bathroom. They charged a 6.75 per day resort fee for coffee, fax, newspaper etc. Both days we were there we were told to go and buy a newspaper at the Marina. We heard the place was going to be torn down after the tourist season, the rate does not reflect what you are going to get, clearly they have stopped trying.
