I am a Marriott Resort Timeshare Owner and swapped for the Marriott Ocean Pointe and was not disappointed. They are in the process of putting up another building onto their site. Went week of 07/18-07/25. Staff (especially the Concierge) were cordial and helpful. The grounds of the resort are nicely maintained and I did like the trellis swings, but wished they could face the ocean. FYI active folks-very nice exercise room (treadmills, bikes, stepper machines, and weight machines and free weights), water aerobics provided a good workout and enjoyed the AM stretch as well. Nice big hot tubs and plenty of pools. Even though very steamy in Florida this time of the year, the resort was pretty busy and pools were as such as well. Lots of teenagers hanging around, but I guess that is to be expected in the summer. You can walk to the Sailfish Marina for nice dining at the Sailfish Restaurant or the Buccaneer Steakhouse. Also ate at the pool bar (okay food, long wait for it) and the Marketplace (okay food as well, little to no wait). I read a lot of reviews about the Cabana folks which made me (and those vacationing with me) leary of dealing with them. I rented a boogie board for our friends' kids one day for one hour and was given the price of $5 (instead of the typical $7, he told me) and thought it fair. He tried to talk us into renting one of their boats, but we said no and he was not pushy or bothersome about it. That was my only dealing with them. I would return again ... loved Palm Beach area, resort is in a great location ... great private beachfront (sooo many seashells to pick from), walking distance to a couple restaurants and a little shopping mall (maybe called Ocean Shops) and pleasant staff.

Perhaps this was one of the nicest resorts that I've ever been to. The two bedroom condo was, as usual to Marriott standards, extremely nice. I've never had a more comfortable bed! The grounds were well maintained and the staff very courteous.

The ocean was gorgeous, I've never seen water so CLEAR and CLEAN and CALM!!! Even the Gulf Coast did not compare. The beach on the other hand was average at best. I have been at many nicer beaches such as Kiawah, Atlantic Beach and Hilton Head. The only real negative was the environment surrounding the resort. It really wasn't what I expected, The surrounding area is not that nice and grocery stores are far and few in between. It's unfortunate such a beautiful resort is located on this part of Singer Island which is subpar.

However, I would still rate the resort a 4/5. It, in itself, is one of the nicest resorts I've been too

Just returned (June 25th) from a great 5 days - very much enjoyed it - we would definitely come back. The rooms were fine and housekeeping was great. We had a side room but could see the ocean from the balcony. The pools were well maintained and kept clean. The swings around the grounds are an excellent idea. The Market Place had an excellent variety of food items and all were reasonably priced. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. Numerous children activities but they are extremely over priced. The on-site bar/restaurant had a limited menu but served good food, although expensive.
