We really enjoyed our 90 min. tour on the Intercoaster waterway of WPB or Lake Worth. The tour was titled, "Palm Beach Then and Now." Our Captain took us along the back yards of the many lakefront homes. He knew the story behind most of them and who lives there. Maybe not a ton of celebrities in WPB but tons of $. You can see the homes of Ford, Merck, GSK, Fisher (9 West and Auto fame), Bernie Madoff, Singer, etc. Be sure to reserve early in the vacation if you really want to do it, as our first reservation was cancelled due to maintenance and the weather may turn on you and it could cancel as well. So leave time to reschedule.
The Marina is in the GPS and easy to find on Singer Island. Restaurant there (didn't eat, but heard it is good and smelled wonderful). Little ships store there too. Make sure you ask them when reserving where you need to check in for the ride. There are two locations, one outside and one inside. The one inside runs this tour. We checked in on the one outside since it is more obvious and the girl working there could not find our reservation and just put us on a really expensive day long Family Fun tour to Peanut Island. You would think she would have noticed that we had no beach towels or suits with us, but didn't even ask us which tour we were reserved for. She was more concerned about listening to her music. After missing our tour, one of the Captains inside overheard and took us on a tour. The manager inside was very apologetic, letting our son tour for free. They were excellent inside!!!!!! So go inside!!!!! The tour was around $28 per adult for 90 min. Many other choices for tours as well including fishing, kayak, catamaran. We do plan to go back and do other tours through Sailfish!!!!
