My Husband recently got a job in the Palm Beach area and we had to relocate fast. Finding an apartment proved to be a much harder task than I thought so we needed a place to bunk down for a few nights while we waited to hear back on our new home. I was back in Tampa watching TV and scouring hot-wire, priceline, and kayak when I saw a commercial for Best Western. Save 20% by booking online now. I head on over to the website and sure enough the prices were $30 cheaper than my results on the other sites. I chose the 3 night stay discount in a king size room with a sleeper sofa. Having our 9 month old daughter with us I was sure I was going to want some room for us to stretch out. I went ahead and called in the reservation because I was having trouble with my card on the website. Turns out I was I putting the wrong billing address in. The man who answered was helpful and got our reservation booked in under five minutes. After that phone call I finished packing some bags and slept easy knowing my little family would have a roof over their heads for the next few days while we figured stuff out. The next day the drive was long but oh so worth it. I've stayed in countless hotels in my young life having gone on several cross country road trips with my family. We took one step into the room and it was wonderful! Bigger than I expected and oh so clean. It smelled wonderful. You know when you walk into a hotel room and you're taken aback for a few seconds and you think to yourself, yep that's the hotel smell, well this was so much better. $130.00 is a nice chunk of change but it is worth it. A few of the other things the hotel offers other than the wonderful rooms are a gorgeous pool with a waterfall feature, outdoor fireplace and lounge area, indoor cocktail bar with happy hour nightly, a free breakfast until 10 am which includes scrambled eggs, cereals, and even a waffle maker. The breakfast is a serve yourself buffet style but there is always someone coming around to help with anything you might need. On our first day there we walked in and immediately were greeted and offered a high chair for our daughter. On the day before checkout we got some news from the apartment complex we were hoping to move into and had to make different arrangements. There's no apartment complex that will let you move in same day around here so we had to start the process over again and that would take who knew how long. So I extended our stay. The hotel was happy to do so and even though they were getting pretty full we didn't have to change rooms. I was beginning to wonder if we could just live here. After our weeklong stay here we decided to go back to Tampa for the weekend and save some money. Come Sunday we did need to head back over here so I tried to book us another stay here Best Western Plus. They were booked. It was unfortunate but I started to look around elsewhere. We really couldn't afford more than $130 a night so I set that as our budget and found two hotels. The Ramada and the La Quinta. The Ramada wasn't in the best part of town or so we had been told so we went with the La Quinta. Big mistake. The La Quinta was located on an extremely busy and noisy road. The room was picked up but I wouldn't say clean. There were dead bugs in the bathroom, and live ones coming in from the ac unit. It was a smoking room so there was an awful smell, a horrible yellow on the walls and doors, and burns on the sheets. The beds were creaky but comfy enough. They did have cable so I kept myself occupied with our daughter but it wasn't really a place I'd like her to crawl around in. The furniture was damaged and the ac unit loud. It wasn't a bad time but it wasn't a nice stay. After hearing that we wouldn't be able to move in until the weekend thankfully the Best Western plus had two rooms available. It was for a bit more than we had payed last time but we were willing to splurge for our comfort and peace of mind. So back to the 'best' Best Western around. When I arrived they remembered us. Sure it was only a week ago but it was really nice to know that they cared enough to recognize our faces. I continued to check in and they told me we were really going love our room and that there was plenty of space for our daughter to crawl. I had no idea what I was in for. I figured it was an oversized room like the ones listed on the site but as we walked down the hallway of the fourth floor I found myself getting excited because on every door there was one sweet word…Suite. Needless to say we enjoyed every little bit of our stay. The rooms wether big or small are spacious, clean, and just plain wonderful. Every penny was well spent here. The staff was so friendly and cared about our stay. They made a very stressful two weeks of relocating as relaxing as they could be. Thank you Best Western Plus at Windsor Gardens. Can't wait until we have an excuse to come back! -The Butterbaughs
