The resort has undergone a major much needed renovation. Supposedly the spa did too but it didn't appear so. There is nothing relaxing about the atmosphere inside the spa. Bright florecent lighting, white walls and light flooring did nothing to promote relaxation. The ladies waiting area for treatment is a large space with poor acoustics so you could not hear the soft music playing. The locker area as well looks old with carpet that smelled musty. Inside the bathroom area the commodes were old and as we were there all day we realized that no staff checked to ensure they were kept clean. With all the women having treatments during the day by three o'clock they were dirty. Unexceptable! The treatments were very good and staff knowledgable. The treatment rooms were nicer than the common areas. The pool area is lovely at the spa. We preordered lunch for a certain time. When no one came by after it was time I went to the food area and was told I needed to advise them we were there waiting. Not good service as the pool area is small and the waiter could have come over and asked us. This is not a cheap spa by any means. For what they are charging the resort should have paid much more attention to the spa building. All in all good services, expensive and poor atmosphere.
