Beautiful, absolutely beautiful property.

The drama free report is:
Staff - extremely nice. A few times I honestly couldn't understand what the person at the front desk was asking me because of her accent - which I always find an interesting choice on management's part since communicating w/ guests is key to this position, but overall the staff was friendly and helpful without being sickening sweet.
Food - I only ate at the Seafood Bar once - and it was ok. Tasty for sure, but the butter sauce was too heavy for the fish.
Facility - awesome. Absolutely awesome. It's like the S. Fl. version of the Waldorf, The Homestead, or the Coronado. Every detail was worth looking at. Can't say enough about how much I enjoyed just seeing the facility.
Cost - I don't know, I didn't pay. I was part of a conference and it was booked for me - but if you are looking for a luxury resort, this is a crazy nice place to hang out at.

I feel lucky to have stayed there and hope another conference brings me back.

I did see some other postings about the hotel attracting conferences so this appears to be true. Hopefully our unsightly name badges didn't ruin anyone's time. (so much for drama free...)

The property is iconic, representative of old world elegance. However, management has made an obvious decision to entice conventioneers, wedding revelers, and entitled thirty-somethings with their unrestrained and obnoxious children. If you look forward to a quiet morning cup of coffee overlooking the gardens, be warned that the classical music outdoors has been replaced by elevator jazz, and every manner of power tool will be engaged in ongoing renevations and making sure that not even a twig soil the property. Be sure to watch out for all sorts of vehicles roaming the property. If the back up beepers don't disturb your reverie, almost getting hit by employees more intent with keeping their schedule than watching out for guests taking a walk will get your attention.

We were looking to spend a "girlfriend spa day" somewhere local so decided to check out The Breakers. The service over the phone to make Spa appts was very good and the on-site service was also excellent. Very nice spa, pretty roomy, sauna/steamroom and workout facilities.

We had breakfast in The Circle dining room - amazing architecture both here and in the overall lobby/entrance. Good food and service, we ordered off menu but great buffet available too - of course, pricey is to be expected here.

Had late lunch at an outdoor restaurant by the family pool - AWESOME crabcake! Downside is any drinks/cocktails need to go into plastic cups at these restaurants by pool and outdoor bar.
Service was great considering there is an automatic 20% added to everything.

Spa services were very good - interesting thing is that they ask you to pay (with gratuity) when you enter Spa, so before treatments. Also gratuity added at 20% and no option to even offer higher amount or addtl tip. (weird)
Really nice thing, unlike many Spas, is there is NO HARD SELL of products in the treatment room or at check-out when you leave.

A quiet pool and hottub by the Spa and courtyard with lounges available - very private and relaxing.

Tons of kids around (although it was holiday weekend) so probably a good spot to vacation with a family. Seemed to offer lots of avctivities during the day, around pool/beach, etc.

My 9-year old and I checked into the Breakers on a Tuesday. We were greeted very professionally. Very charming manners. The front desk clerk upgraded us to oceanview room and had a wonderful conversation with my son. He received all of his important info concerning the game room. The room was very clean and decorated nicely. The bathroom and closet were huge. The next morning we went down to the pool and we had the pool all to ourselves. No crowds during the week. We couldn't decide where to sit and the pool guy followed us around as we changed our mind. Stunning service. Drinks were great at the pool. In the afternoon we would get ice cream at the shop and sit outside in the veranda overlooking the lawn. Nice and quiet. We had dinner at the Seafood bar. The portions were tiny but tasty. Another night we ate in the Italian restaurant and received excellent service and delicious food. We ended up eating there two nights. Breakfast in the circle room was delicious also with many options. Turn down service was a delight with soft music and bottled water. Everything was truly relaxing that I completely forgot to book a massage in the spa. Thankfully we picked a good week that was not crowded. We walked around everywhere and thought we had the place to ourselves. Great week!

The Breakers lived up to our expectations. We were traveling with two young children and the standard deluxe room was spacious. They provided us with a mini-fridge, diaper genie, and baby proofed the room upon our request. Food is very expensive, but the grounds and service are outstanding. Overall, an exceptional hotel.
