Visited the Omphoy for four nights.
The property is beautiful Valet very attentive, front desk NOT friendly at all; you would think they would be more welcoming specially at time of check-in since they do not know how far you’ve traveled or for how long to get to them. BUT I was already prepared for the cold hearted attitude after reading so many different reviews with similar experiences so honestly not shocking which is sad and the same time.
Had dinner at the terrace on two different occasions plus the breakfast buffet, food was excellent; yes pricey but very, very good I don’t know where they buy their strawberries but they were soo good, the staff here were also welcoming. Had room service one night also very good and quick, there was a mistake on my order which was quickly resolved.
Beach & Service: Great, Carlos brought us water on two different occasions and always had a smile, we also received service from another girl with short black hair (Sorry did not get her name) very nice.
Pool & Staff: Amazing the girls here were always smiling and making sure we did not need anything else, great Piña Colada’s! Love the fact that the pool is open 24 hours.

I really think management should replace the front desk with either Valet, Pool, Restaurant or Beach Staff perhaps if they are out in the sun for a while their attitudes may melt away, on Saturday night (06/09/12) while having dinner at the terrace it was sprinkling and of course the waitresses were getting a little wet they NEVER lost their smile, so sorry for not getting their names either.

Overall the place is incredible, did not have a problem with the dark hallways as I have read, give them a break it’s their décor, pool on the parking lot side, you honestly do not see it, the access to the beach going through the Terrace Restaurant not a problem either it’s not like you are walking behind clients chairs while they are eating.

Now I want to see how long it’s going to take them to release the hold they have on my credit card since I paid for everything that I consumed at time of check out and I left on Tuesday, this is something else I had read about.!

This place caters to couples. Great for a romantic getaway. It is located right on the beach.
The staff was excellent - from top to bottom they all have excellent customer service, helpful and friendly!

My girlfriend and I wanted to get away for a weekend and really did not want to drive far. So we took a little excursion to the Omphoy this previous weekend.
The Valet staff, quickly attended us and took care of minimal luggage. Escorted us to the front desk, where the subtle lining, background music, contemporary design, all very much appealed to my date and I. We both commented how it reminded us of a mini "W hotel". Expeditious check-in, and we were quickly taken to our rooms. Everyone from valet, thru the check-in, and the attendant who escorted us to our room, reflected politeness, concern, and hospitality.The walk through the lobby and to our room likewise reflected cleanliness and hospitality geared for it's guests. Our room was clean, and very nicely decorated. The view was nice and we regretted we did not reserve an ocean view. The amenities were equally inviting. The spa, offered excellent services. I personally wanted a deep tissue massage, but other services were offered. The gym was small but adequate. The ocean front wonderful and the pool and cabanas very contemporary and inviting.
About the only thing lacking--better TV service. Minimal choices for enjoying a movie or other programming.

We've stayed in lots of W Hotels in our travels, and the Omphoy definitely equals or surpasses our experiences in those hotels. Great service from check-in to bar service to beach service. The room was modern but warm, and was beautifully designed. Just a perfect hotel!
