This is my review of the current temporary,"Masterworks From The Lord Beaverbrook Art Museum in New Brunswick"exhibit.I enjoyed the quality paintings I saw at this exhibit immensely.There were 75 quality paintings that ranged from the Renaissance(Lucas Cranach the Elder,Bartholomeus Bruyn the Elder)to masterpieces by Salvador Dali("Saint James Grande")and Graham Sutherland("Winston Churchill").I saw fine British portraiture by Joshua Reynolds,George Romney,and Thomas Gainesborough.I saw fine Canadian paintings,including delightful paintings by Clarence Gagnon,Alexander Jackson,Lawren Harris,and David Milne.My 4 favorite paintings were;James Tissot's"Passing Time",Clarence Gagnon's"2 Beaches,Parame and Saint Malo",Lawren harris'"Morning",and Alfred Sisley's"Le Falaise de Penarth".This exhibit concludes at the end of March,2013.Admission is 5 Dollars and parking is free.

This is a gem. A fantastic gem in West Palm Beach. They have delightful concerts at reasonable prices, there is an art gallery with wonderful visiting exhibits and many, more events like movies, and lectures. Located just off the intercoastal waterway, with a lovely scuplture garden overlooking the water, this is a place to explore depending upon the event that resonates with you. Check their website or get their mailing to see what interests you and be prepared for a special treat. Their art exhibits are always expertly curated, the concerts are always top notch and I am sure that the lectures are probably just as excellent. A special treat for me it to go to a Sunday afternoon concert and time it to see the current exhibit in the art gallery. Getting there a bit early to make sure of parking, as it can get a bit crowded in the lot, we sit overlooking the garden with a spectacular view of the intercoastal and it feels like heaven on earth as the Florida sun shines down on us. I have never been disappointed there even when I never heard of the musicians who were preforming, they have all be superb.

If you enjoy "the Arts", this is the place; classes, lectures, music, library, fabulous gardens; opera broadcast from the Met; speakers who you would never believe are available in Palm Beach speak or perform there; and, if Ann (from the libarary area) is arranging a trip to somewhere, i.e. Art Basel, etc...you better book early and don't miss it! Great!

Smaller, intimate therater setting. Perfect for a night out with friends or family. The location is lovely with the "Palm Beach" feeling. I watch for events to make sure I do 't miss something special.
