Based on its TripAdvisor review as 1 of Palm Beach restaurants, my husband & I had dinner here on the last night (8/2/2013) of our golf/pool/beach family vacation @ The Breakers. We were smitten immediately by the upscale quaint hotel lobby. It felt like we had stepped into a classic historic New York or London hotel. Next we felt we stepped into a movie set when we entered the bar & dining room. The slick black walls, shiny surrounding booths, hand painted ceiling, slowly swaying fans, & dim lighting were fabulous. We were greeted & seated by a dapper silver haired fellow whose preview of the menu was well rehearsed & entertaining. We arrived just in time to miss the piano player but just in time to catch the first set of the later entertainment. We knew every song they played from 60s thru 90s. People were on their feet dancing from the 1st song to the last. After dinner we joined them, though many were quite skilled compared to us. We, 51 & 52, were close to, if not the youngest there, & in the minority compared to those 60s+. We did not find this to be a negative, as some reviewers have. We were pleased to enjoy the upscale sophisticated atmosphere with them, & reminded again that it too bad there are not many places like this left. Luci, our waitress, was quiet & inobtrusive, helpful with menu recommendations, & very good in general @ her job. Everything we ate was top notch, &, unfortunately, we could not eat every bite of all of it. We started with soup. I had du jour which was veggie beef. My husband had chicken noodle w/mini chicken pie; the pie melted in your mouth, & is apparently a favorite of many. He had wood grilled veal chop w/a fresh delicious salad I wished I had room to finish for him. I devoured chicken schnitzel & tiny green beans & smooth whipped potatoes. He loved the grand finale specialty dessert sticky toffee pudding w/vanilla ice cream. We were SO glad we tried Leopard Lounge/Restaurant. It was a perfect final evening of a luxury vacation.
