“It's a must!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

A friend told me if you visit Palm Beach you must go to The Seafood Bar at the Breakers. So we did. What a beautiful view! Had lunch and cocktails. Crab cakes were delicious and clam chowder delightful. Although very pricey I don't regret the visit. I loved everything about it.

“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

We had a great meal and a good time at the Seafood Bar. First of all the hotel is beautiful, so enjoyed walking through the lobby areas. The bar itself was lively and very comfortable - not formal at all. The aquarium bar was fascinating and colorful. We sat at a table where the people watching, ocean view and TV with a UK basketball game - could not have been better.
Service was friendly and the menu was good. We both had lobster salad sandwiches and our favorite drinks. Finished with dessert. It was a very relaxing evening.
The hotel was busy with 2 weddings and lots of music going on, but we felt very welcome.
Probably should dress at least business casual or cocktail attire - why not - it is The Breakers!

“Nice vibe, great view, good food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Get a table by the ocean for a nice view. The food all 3 of us had for lunch was great. Try the gorgonzola fries. I had the sea bass which was perfectly done over a great sauce and "succotash" of edamame and corn. It's pricey as it's in the Breakers, but certainly a lovely spot for an elegant lunch.

“Lovely View of the Ocean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

We always enjoy the Breakers, the grand dame of Palm Beach. It's a lovely hotel with a great history. It continues its elegance today. We have visitors from out of state and wanted to show them Palm Beach. We stopped at the Breakers mid-day for a drink. The Breakers has a guard house. They discourage sightseers and you need to leave your car with the valet before entering the hotel. The charge for valet parking is $20 but, if you're a guest, and your ticket is validated, that charge is removed. The Seafood Bar is in the back of the building, fronting the beach and the Atlantic.

We arrived without a reservation, but the very professional and friendly Maitre d' found us a nice table for four. There are really no bad tables in this relatively small space. All tables have a fine view of the ocean. The bars are lovely as well. Each bar, there are two, have tropical fish tanks embedded in their surfaces. Fun and engaging if you're sitting at the bar. Our table service was relatively prompt and professional. It was a Sunday afternoon and the hotel was busy. The drinks were good and fairly priced for the upscale environment.

We had a nice time. Our friends had a nice time. All was good. As always at the Breakers.

“The Best Crab Cakes in Florida!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We celebrated my father's birthday here last November. We got seated in a nice section and the service was excellent. For starters we had the calamari and the empandatinas. Both were okay but I think next time I would just order another martini and save my calories for the main entree. I ordered the crab cakes. Absolutely fabulous! If and when I ever go back that's what I'll order again. I was stuffed but refused to leave one morsel of food on my plate. Which is a good thing since this place is so pricey...but its The Breakers so expect nothing less!
