“Good food and great place to watch a game”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Try the pitboss, my son's favorite, but make sure you have a big appetite. They make great burgers and very good pulled pork.

“Favorite Barbeque Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

The moist tender morsels that you can add six different flavors of bbq sauce to are wonderful. Never had pork and chicken so juicy and smoked. The fried okra as a side is great. They also serve fried green tomoatoes and corn nugget appetizers that are our favorites. The Oinker is a delicious melt of pork, bacon, and cheese that is worth driving the extra miles for. The kicken chicken melt is my second favorite.

“Nice place to grab a brew and talk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

My son and I went to Bonfires to see what it was like. Woody's BBQ had been in the location for a long time, but finally gave up! Bonfires has a beachside hangout motif, with the pull-up covers over the bar-side seats and an area inside to sit down and have a meal. We sat and talked for a while over a couple of beers and had a good time. At some point, I'll have to bring the wife and see what the food fare is like.
It was nice, nicer than my visit to Woody's for sure. Worth a trip just to sit and talk for a while. Barkeeps were friendly (when aren't they?) and provided their own eye-candy "-)
Bonfires has a lot (24) of big flat-screen TVs, and makes a good place to eat and watch a football or basketball game. They also have regularly scheduled live concerts (see the web site at ' bonfiresoviedo.com '

“Great neighborhood place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

My wife and I have stopped in there a couple of times and like this place.

This is an outstanding combination sports bar and BBQ restaurant right in our neighborhood. First, the bar is two sided with inside customers on one side and outside customers on the other. There are also tables outside, but it is still a bit warm in Florida for me outside. The dining room inside is comfortable. The outside bar gets enough AC pass through to make sitting there just fine in the early evening. The offer happy hour special in the afternoon and after about 10PM. Price wise, take a beer rather than a soft drink for value. Draft is cold and served in a cold glass.

We have been very pleased with the service. Waitresses are very attentive and the whole feel of the place is friendly down home.

The cuisine is American Barbecue and Burgers. They have quite a few apetizers and the real treat for us was the "fried green tomatoes". So good.

They really do a fine job of actually smoking the ribs and wings and such. No fake smoke flavor here. And, if you're like me and missing Eastern North Carolina BBQ, you can get a good approximation by ordering pulled pork dry and bringing in your own pepper vinegar sauce.

I recommend the smoked combo to share for a couple or three people. Wings are perfect with a cold beer and a ballgame on one of the many big screens. I'm now anxious for college football season.
