“good value, friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

My husband and I had a second-floor pool-view room, very nice though small. The bed was comfortable and we liked the big shower. TV seemed to be low-def though, and without a channel guide. We did not notice excessive noise but there were no special events in the hotel when we were there. Best to avoid them, probably. We liked the breakfast sandwiches and other items. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Over all, this hotel offers good value for the money and we plan to stay there again when we are visiting family in the area.

The hotel is nice. Pool view rooms are a must.
Breakfast is nothing too exciting. Live entertainment during the weekends is great.
The service is good (pretty cold and official in my opinion).
In general - great hotel, good location to explore sarasota\siesta key\st. petersburg.
I enjoyed the hotel and defiantly recommend.

Room Tip: Pool Access first floor - so much fun and still you have some privacy as you have a small balcony an...

Good room, direct access to tiki bar from room is something great.
Everything was perfect was almost asleep until some guests decided to continue to party in their room. Had to call front desk at 11:45pm for the noise to finally calm down around 12:15. Couldn't fall back asleep before 1:30am afterwards... It ruined the overall experience.

I stayed here for 2 nights. I read other reviews and tried to get a pool view but the hotel was full due to 2 weddings. The walls are thin and you can hear people walking through the hallways from your rooms (especially when they are partying, but I think that's typical for a wedding). I slept great--the beds are nice. The breakfast is fine but only some things are free like pastries and coffee and the egg sandwichs. If you want a nice latte you have to pay for it. For the price, this hotel is good value for your money and the poolside bar is nice. Unfortunately, no jacuzzi.

Room Tip: Pool view and a corner room so that you don't hear as many guests.

Extremely happy with this quirky and sweet boutique hotel. My friend and I stayed there during a quick trip to Sarasota and I couldn't have been happier. It's a great value, a LOT of fun, and the rooms have been VERY nicely updated! The poolside area is a GEM, especially for those looking to relax on a business trip - a wonderful retreat! I will admit I was a bit concerned when I learned there was a band playing one night outside my poolside room, but it was absolutely a non-issue! The music was low-key, and the hotel seems to have found the right balance between fun-loving and relaxation; the band ended about 9:30, and we had a wonderful and relaxing rest. We had dinner at the Tiki Bar and the quality of the food and drinks far exceeded expectations! Over all this was a GREAT find!

But, beyond the amenities, I want to commend the service. While it's not a Four Seasons in terms of personal service (i.e. no room service, but the Tiki Bar will take your order and deliver), our interactions were fantastic. Very flexible and VERY responsive to requests. Great breakfast and friendly interactions all around. I think that the management of this place is doing a fantastic job.

Bottom line: At these rates you can stay at a cookie-cutter "interstate" hotel, but at Bentleys you will get more character, better service and discover a great little hidden gem of a boutique in Osprey.

You could pay their rates at any interstate hotel and receive "cookie cutter" trea

Room Tip: Don't forget to try the food at the Tiki Bar - great people watching, good music and really grea...

My wife and myself stayed at Bentleys for 8 nights. The rooms have been tastefully refurbished, good large comfortable bed, 40 inch flat screen tv. Shower room very adequate, good quality towels. Maid service was effecient. Breakfast was ok not much choice, but helped along by helpful staff. The restaurant was closed when we stayed, so cant comment on that. The pool area was nice, but you could NOT get a drink at the pool bar before before 4 o clock?, which seemed strange to me, the bar staff were around much earlier, but would not budge on this rule. A nice cold drink during the heat of the day would have been very welcome.

Amazing "boutique" hotel with something for every member of the family! Located between Sarasota and Venice, yet close to Nokomis Beach. Owners & management are obviously serious about making this a unique hotel experience . . . even adding beach-front accommodations soon! Rooms have modern yet comfortable decor and conveniences. Bathroom with walk-in shower was very accessible and commode is water-conservation equipped. Outdoor infinity-style pool area at the center of the main complex features platform decking, lots of comfortable lounge chairs, a sandy "beach" and a great Tiki Bar with excellent food. The complimentary breakfast was terrific! Congenial staff even make breakfast sandwiches. We would not hesitate even for a moment to stay here again! Great stay while visiting family on Casey Key.

Room Tip: First floor interior/pool-facing rooms have walk-out patios. Second floor interior/pool-facing rooms...
