I hadn't been to this place since years and years ago when it was The Old Salty Dog, so figured I'd see what the restaurant in an old favorite childhood location was all about. When we arrived, it was about 2pm, and the place was very busy. But, even with this, the service was attentive and we were seated and our orders were taken in no time. The menu offers primarily seafood, with a few other options such as a beer battered hot dog. We stuck to the seafood side, and ordered a blackened grouper sandwich and fish and chips. It took us around 15-20 minutes to get our food, which didn't seem bad considering how busy the place was, and the menu even saying to expect a 20 minute wait on it. The sandwich had great taste to it, with a very good blackening seasoning. The only downside was that it could have been thicker, but I can't complain much about that. The fish and chips were very good for fried fish, being flaky, moist, and crispy. The fries were also done well. I would recommend this place to anyone coming through the area, even if it is a bit off of the main strip. It has a great environment that fits the location right on the water, giving off a good old Florida feel, and provides good food to go along with it.
