We went to Ormond Beach for a family vacation, and BOY WERE WE DISAPPOINTED! The area looks so old and run down. The beaches and the streets were full of trash. The two most enjoyable things were going to Sea World (travelling over an hour) and the fort and old towne at St. Augustine (still not too thrilling). This is one place that I will never go back to, and recommend that anyone considering it change your mind. Even though it is close to Daytona, there is little to do that is family oriented. The Daytona area was also very run down except for around the race track. VERY DISSATISFIED!
