We stayed for a week as an exchange on our timeshare. We were in a one bedroom in the North tower. Since I knew there weren't laundry facilities in the unit, I brought enough clothes so it didn't matter. We found the staff very accommodating and friendly. We had bikes with us and they had no problem with us taking them up the elevator to our room to be safe. They also had no problem with us taking them out through the pool area to the beach. We were always careful to wash the sand off the tires and bikes before we returned to the hotel.
Our room was freshly painted and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The sofa and chair were somewhat worn but I find this is often true in time shares.
Although they advertise they offer concierge services, I found the people at the desk not very knowledgeable about what was going on in town. This is the Christmas season and there were special activities that I located easily on the Internet. The staff didn't know anything about them.

We just returned from a week at The Cove. This is our second visit. Our first visit was 2 years ago. 2 years ago we stayed in the North Tower. This visit we were in the South Tower. 2 pluses the South Tower has over the North Tower: in unit laundry and the 2nd bedroom has 2 double beds. North Tower is the only tower that allows smoking on its balconies. So, if you are a smoker, request the North Tower. I believe the North Tower has a few upgrades that the South Tower units don't have. From what I can remember about the North Tower, the kitchen had granite and upgraded appliance. However, the South Tower's kitchens are just fine.

The weather did not really cooperate for us. It was cold and very windy most of the week. Our 11 year old boys did however, still enjoy the pool slide. Even the freezing cold pool couldn't stop them from playing on the slide. It's nice that the resort has beach chairs available for their guests. And, you can check out pool/beach towels on a daily basis.

This resort is good for families. Younger guests/couples may wish to look elsewhere. Nothing going on at the resort. But, the area around the resort has much to do.

We are in a junior suite. Very clean and good service. No maid service, makes your stay more like real life. You replenish your towels as needed at front desk. Bring your own to toiletres, they supply bath soap, dish soap and dishwasher soap. Junior suite is cosy w Murphy bed, full kitchen w blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher...etc. good sound barriers between apts.

This is a hard property to review, since these units are time-shares, and some are more worn, and cleaner than others. We have stayed here a few times, always thinking there must be a better option in the area, but not finding one. Ormond beach is more family friendly than Daytona, with less traffic, and noise. With children, it is nice to have separate bedrooms, and a full kitchen, and laundry in the unit. Rooms on the ocean view side are brighter, and more quiet. The first floor units are noisy, and overlook the parking lot. There is no daily maid service, and you end up buying necessities, and doing light cleaning. The pools are not really heated, but the beach is not crowded, and usually a better option.
