States its a 3 star hotel but I wouldn't even give it a half star. Room was horrible! They had wrong reservations, ceiling leaked water on one of the beds, noisy neighbors, wallpaper falling off, one of the blankets had a large yellow stain on it (possibly urine?), bathtub was black on the bottom, bathtub also did not drain and our lock to the door stopped working along with several other peoples locks. The first night We stayed there I had to go to front desk to get room opened because the key did not work. But the front desk man said he could not leave the desk. He told me I would have to walk around the hotel looking for a security guard to help me open the door. Finally after walking around the whole outside of the hotel at midnight in the rain I found him. It took him an hour to get out door open. The next day they had to replace the lock. Was told it would take 10 minutes but it took well over an hour and a half! While they were doing that, our room was left wide open and unattended but luckily nothing was stolen. Went to the front desk that morning to complain and was told "if i did not like the place then leave". That night I saw security officer sitting at the pool drinking beer while on the job. Very unprofessional. I will NEVER stay there again!!!!

My family and I stayed at the Sea Side Inn over 4th of July weekend and had a good stay, though the room was WAY overpriced for what it was. But what stood out (and saved our trip) was the performance of the staff when we discovered that my wife had left her laptop computer in the room when we left. The maid turned in the computer without unzipping the bag. When I called, the night manager (Bob Camp) went through the bag for us to make sure that everything was there, then assured us it would be kept under lock and key overnight. The following morning, another employee (Ken Cerveny) arranged to send the computer to us by Fed Ex, taking care of all the details. He even faxed a page from my wife's appointment book so she would know her schedule while the computer was en route. The performace of these individuals more than made up for some of the blemishes this motel has. Besides, the pool is clean and the beer at the tiki bar is cold. I've stayed at better, but I've definitely stayed at worse.

This hotel advertised it was newly renovated and accepted pets. The young lady I booked my reservation with was very friendly and made this hotel sound like a dream!! When I arrived at approximately 11:30 pm with my dog, there were no cars in the parking lot. That was my first red flag. Then, I proceeded to check in, but was skeptic, so, I asked to see the room first before paying. The desk clerk was very hesitant, which confirmed again, another red flag..... I insisted to see the room first. He then gave me the key, which didn't work when I went up to check it out. I had to go back downstairs again to the front desk and proceed to tell him. He didn't believe that I used the key correctly, so he went with me and it didn't work for him either. Then, he got another key and said that one should work. I went upstairs again and as I entered the room, it was disgusting, filthy, old and had roaches in the bed. I left out of there so fast and told him I was leaving. I ended up driving around Daytona Beach at Midnight, looking for another hotel that accepted pets. That was an experience!!!!!!!!! BEWARE of this hotel....... or you'll be sorry.

THIS WAS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!! Room DIRTY, BATHTUB FILTY, no towels in the room as they were not washed and check in time was delayed. Some of the staff were extremely rude. No one should ever be subjected to this and have to pay $$$ for it. We called Cheap tickets to get out of this stay and were refused. Cheap tickets must bear some responsibility for this. Spring break was in full swing, AND THIS HOTEL ACCOMODATED BREAKERS, which we did not know about. The screaming was unbearable during the entire stay. When we called the front desk to complain, we were told that "this was Spring Break", well, they should post this so you can make a decision whether you would spend that much money on a filty room where you get no rest! We did find out that this property will shut down next year, so any repairs are minimal and apparently they do not care about their service, only to make as much money as possible until closing time. People, be aware, if you want to waste your money, have no recourse and stay in a filthy, miserable situation, then book this place!!!!
