“old property in need of update”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

my sisters, niece and I stayed at this property after attending a baby shower. the outside deck and path to the ocean were satisfactory as were the balconies, but the rooms looked old, they need new paint, the door locks need replacing and the staff needs to be friendlier.

This hotel has seen better days and suffers from a lack of maintenance and refurbishing. The climate and spring breakers have taken a toll on the property. However, if your tastes are flexible and you can negotiate a good rate it is worth a short stay. There is no shortage of beach accommodations on Daytona Beach, you can do better. Seems like the only people here were taking advantage of a discount offer or time share presentation.

Room Tip: If ocean front rooms are not available, ask for the 7th floor rooms on the south side. We stayed in...

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! no restaurant, no room service. Maid service is $15, we were there for 4 days not once did they take out our garbage or give us clean towels. If we wanted towels 90% of the time they "had none clean" and we had to go to the lobby to get them, never once could they bring them to our room. Also 4 days never refilled toilet paper had to walk downstairs if we needed it. No extra pillows only one per person. Walked in to our room it smelt like must and mold. Dead flys on our back window, mold in the refrigerator. Sink and toilet were broke when we got there. Had to get our sheets changed TWICE because they were discusting and stained the first time, someone was sent up and put more stained sheets on! Refused to switch our room. By far the worst service I have ever recieved. Wish I could post pictures of the coffee maker and microwave! Fowl is a great way to explain this hotel!

We rented a 1 bedroom with what was supposed to be fully supplied kitchen. Long way from fully. We had an 8 in fry pan, 4 plates, 2 salad plates. 2 bowls, 2 forks and 4 steak knives, 4 glasses and a couple cups, toaster and coffee maker for 3 people. We bought plastic silverware and a cookie sheet. We had to make our salad in a plastic bag. I went and complained and they brought us to pots and 2 bowls-1 of which was cracked. She said we didn't have to come down we could have just called however we had no phone in the room. We went to go swimming and the outside pool was so cold we couldn't stand it so we went to the indoor pool and it was just as cold, We had goose bumps on our legs underwater. So we couldn't swim all week. Even though we are there for a week we should still get beds changed and made. We should not have to go get our own towels when we need them. The girls at the desk were very nice.

We read the reviews before booking and were not quite sure what to expect. We normally stay at 5 star resorts but this was last minute trip. The room was clean and recently updated. The lobby was outdated but clean. The front desk staff was warm and very welcoming. Efficient and pleasant. The view is the same as much pricier places and the room cleaning crew was on top of things.

My family arrived at 3 o'clock. The doors were locked and the sidewalk was covered in oatmeal (never saw that before). The lobby and halls were not clean and outdated (rundown and dirty). The room was not prepared at the appropriate time so we left for lunch. Afterwards we tryed to check in several times and finally gave up and found better accommodations. The front desk personal were unprofessional and wore stained clothing. There was obviously no pride of ownership or accountability. I will never attempt to stay there again. Disappointed to say the least.

The first thing you see is the lobby - it is old and shabby and none of the entrance doors close properly. The hall to the elevator is dark and dingy and the elevator is dingy and dirty and it doesn't always work. The room itself was okay - recently painted and the carpet was fairly new. The bathroom was upgraded but not totally clean. The kitchen area was okay. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. We loved sitting on the balcony looking out over the ocean. The pool area was not very attractive - old uncomfortable lounge chairs - a few of them were broken so the back could not be elevated. The pool looked okay - not heated - nothing inviting or attractive about swimming and lounging around the pool. The staff did everything in their power to help us out with our requirements. No housekeeping during the entire stay of 5 nights - they do give you fresh towels and face cloths if they haven't run out of them! I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: They say the hotel is newly renovated - our room on the 4th floor was okay - but I would ask for a n...
