Hotel was old. Room was generally clearn but funishings were worn and dated. Carpet was damp from humidity. TV channels were limited. Hotel personnel were not helpful or friendly. Will never stay there again. Website is very misleading.

This motel is a good value motel. We are a family of three adults and stayed in room 401. The room was clean and had a great view.
I have no major complaints. On the first night there we noticed that the shower had no hot water. The sink water was hot, so it wasn't like the motel ran out. We told the front desk and also left a note for the person who would clean our room that the tub/shower had something wrong with the water temperature. The next day while we were out they fixed it. Now the water was hot and had great preasure.
The indoor pool was closed for two days while we were there, but because the weather was so nice and they have a great outside pool, it wasn't a big deal to us.
We used the coin-operated laundry. The machines were clean and worked great.
We stayed there for seven nights. Overall we had a great stay and thought that for the money we paid we were happy.

My husband @ I stayed there with out checking reviews or anything(altho I work in the hospitality quality assurance field!) 5/18-5/21/07. We LOVED it! The front staff...Peggy@Kaitlin..were professional,yet friendly, @ helpful. The halls/walkways were clear of clutter @ trash, our room(which we were upgraded to w/o asking, nor did they know of my profession)was excellent! VERY, very clean(Icould not find dust anywhere..even the tops of the light bulbs!). the ocean view was just what we needed. We did go "visit" the inside heated pool and the outside unheated pool ,but mainly stayed on our balcony on the 6th floor. No restaurant, but many are w/in walking distance and pizza places deliver til all hours(if you want a seafood pizza I really recommend Napoli's). I would definitely say STAY HERE if you come to the Ormond-Daytona Beach area!

Stayed there several years because we liked the area. Had reservations several times but were put off upon arrival even though the booking person for the motel itself told us we would get a poolside room on second or third floor. After getting there the office staff says they only gurantee "A Room". I can go anywhere and get just "A Room" . Early reservations don't mean anything. A seven year repeat customer, me. did not mean anything either. You may or may not get where you want to be. The last straw was in 2004. When I booked the room I told them up front I might want to stay an extra day. They said "No Problem". I told them I did not want to have to move from the room once I was in. Iwas told "No Problem" .I even had the lady's name A who worked for Coral Beach that booked us,but when we told them we wanted the extra day, NO WAY, You;'re gonna have to move! When I complained they just made up more unposted rules. We had arrived several times in the past and someone had come at the last minute without reservations and stayed over and they would not make them move for us! Well, even with reservations someone can get your room. When Mr. Payne owned this motel he treated people more fairly. It was sold. Now it has hit a new low. B office person obviously had his own agenda and wanted to put his friends together. If you like b pool partners and b parties with plenty of "Booming Trash Noise" good luck. A Our family is through with this joke of a motel. C I am late posting this because I just found out they had a review section. Signed - Finished, not coming back here.
