the place is older but very clean and well maintained. we had an ocean view and it was very affordable. the employees do a very good job. we will go back next june.close to a lot of attractions,restaraunts, and beer stores.

When a cruise was postponed for a day due to weather, we wanted an ocean front motel to hang out for a night. We got a great deal with a coupon snagged from a FL rest area and figured Ormond would put us close enough to Port Canaveral. The desk clerk turned us on to a great local restaurant. She was friendly and efficient. The room was plenty big and clean and the view was wonderful. It seems li,e a nice beach place to come and just relax - not upscale but more of an old fashioned beach motel. We enjoyed our brief stay and the very friendly staff. We lost a day at sea but gained a relaxing day at Ormond Beach and met some nice folks. We will be back again for sure.

We "upgraded" to the end room, 1 bedroom suite and for a family of 3, it did suit us well. The layout was great-you walk into the bedroom from the outside and then a door connects you to the rest of the suite and bathroom. The kitchen had cabinets, a smaller "average" sized fridge, microwave and stove cooktops I believe. The balcony led out to a view mostly of the parking lot and busy street but you could still see the ocean which was nice... The beds were comfortable and the location fantastic on the beach, though a little "deserted" in my opinion--weird to see a Dunkin Donuts or ex-coffee shop across the street closed and vacant!
Now for the negatives--our bathroom was filthy according to my wife's standards so we went to the dollar tree nearby to buy cleaning supplies so she could scrub everything down before she'd use it... The bedroom had a lack of outlets so you couldn't have both lamps and the clock radio plugged in at the same time. Outlets in the living area were broken so plugs wouldn't stay plugged in - c'mon a new outlet costs about 50 cents! Tube-type TVs but some of the furniture actually looked upgraded... The carpeting or rug or whatever it's called that you walk on throughout the exterior was very disgusting and torn throughout. Same with the elevators and they were pretty nasty... Got ripped off trying to use one of the washers-it didn't say "ready" or "insert coins", so all 6 coins I put in did not register... Just more lack of maintenance in my opinion... Smoke alarm or something kept going off in the room next door, can only imagine what was setting it off...Though having the indoor pool is nice and they are making it ADA accessible, something just didn't look right with it, in my opinion... We stayed here because it was a great value for a beachfront motel... Unfortunately with prices that "low", it seems to attract a different type of clientele, in my opinion... We did have an okay two night stay there but can't say we'll be returning.
