“Ok as a Park-Hopper 1/2 Day Park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

We visited on a park hopper early morning hours as a family of 2 adults, 2 kids ages 9 & 7 on Sat Oct 27. It is ok as a park hopper but would never pay for full day. There are a few rides we like : Star Tours, Toy Story (head here first!) and Hollywood Tower of Terror. I dont feel there is really much in this park for rides..shows are OK. Seems they could add more here. We much prefer the park in California (California Adventure) that is like this but much better. Last year we ate at Prime time Cafe. Do it once as its unique but no need to repeat. The ambiance/decor are good, meno very odd & limited. Little Mermaid show is good. If you have kids under 7, I would skip this park all together. A ride close to Toy Story would be Buzz Lightyear in Magic Kingdom for them. Didn't do Roller Coaster or Muppets, they may be good.

“Fun for the whole family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Get there early and sign your kids up for Jedi Training if they are 4 to 12 years old, so fun. The rides were great, the shows were fun. The Toy Story ride was fantastic - get a fast pass if you can but worth the wait. Great logistics to clear the park after a busy day, fun stores. Excellent experience with a family of 4, kids aged 5 and 6.
Pleasantly surprised by the availability of healthy food for the kids!

“Just like the Movies”

Lots of good rides and shows. I especially liked the Toy Story Mania ride. Shame it gets really busy.

“Outdated and over-priced.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

For someone who admittedly cares not a whit for Disney characters, the entire experience at all 4 parks was a huge let-down. Of the 4 however, Hollywood studios was easily the most disappointing. The roller coaster is good and the Star Wars ride also enjoyable but the rest was tired and dull. The Big Movie Tour is border-line pathetic and I expect it will be ditched soon. The Pixar inter-active exhibit had a 65 min wait which we couldn't do unfortunately. We left at around 2.30pm with people flooding out the gates, presumably on park-hopper passes. 2-3 hours max, if you must. As with all Disney resorts, food is average and very pricey.

“Disney is always a great place to be.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Hollywood Studios is my favorite park. It has a 50's feel. Lots of old cars and old looking buildings. There are rides for all ages. Do not miss Fantasmic. It is my favorite nite time show. And take as many rides on Toy Story Mania as you can. Have a Magical day.
