“More of a situational experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013

The facilities themselves are alright--my only real complaint there is when I first walked into my room it was very damp. However I attribute that to its location (first floor, near side door so a lot of in and out) and the weather (very rainy, damp day). Everything else is situation. I know they ask if its ok to be on the first floor, and it is fine, however could you not put a room in this location? The bedroom itself is right behind the emergency stairwell, so people using that bothered me in my sleep in the early morning. Being next to the side door, there was a lot of traffic and there is a considerable gap under the door, and the walls are not very well insulated so there was a lot of noise at all times of the day and night. No complaints about the cleanliness, decor, etc.

The location was decent, I had to go out and buy some necessities and food, and there's a Whole Foods just up the road and a Walmart, Target, and KMart all within a couple miles of the place. I was actually here on OJT for the weekend and it was very convenient to where I needed to go.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry for the damp feeling room upon your arrival. I have asked maintenance to look into that room to ensure there are no underlying issues besides the weather that could have casued that. We make every attempt to honor all requests if they are made ie: not near exit door or stairwell, ice machines or elevators. Thanks again for your comments and we appreciate your business.

As soon we walked into the hotel we were impressed with the modern design, and the spacious breakfast area. The staff was very friendly, and they even had cookies at check-in- bonus! Our room was very clean, spacious, the beds were very comfortable, plus the shower was great. The location of the hotel is between Universal and Disney- very convenient. We were happy with the breakfast bar- eggs, waffles, Canadian bacon plus lots of dry items. The pool was your typical hotel pool, nothing fancy, but we didn't go for the pool. All in all it was a great stay- we will definitely return.

I stayed at this hotel for a night with some friends while we attended Halloween Horror Nights. We got a great deal and couldn't be more happy. Rooms were clean and spacious, free breakfast was a plus, the waffles are the best. Good location, friendly staff. Only negative was the sheets and towels smelled old and bed wasn't as comfy but for the price we can't complain! Definitely a great 3.5 star hotel for weekend getaways

My daughter and I choose this hotel for a weekend getaway. It's location is great. Close to the Prime Outlet mall and all the shopping you could want. It's also close to lots of amazing restaurants not to mention Sea World, Universal and even Disney. The breakfast was really good and even though the hotel was sold out, it wasn't too crowded. All of the facilities are extremely clean and comfy. It's more than we thought it would be for the great price we got. Big rooms that could easily fit a family of 6. The staff was all very friendly. Our room was not ready when we arrived, but that was the worst thing that happened to us. It was all uphill after that. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was cold....too cold to swim....even though it was hot outside. The only thing that could have been better would have been if there was a hot tub. :)

We stayed at springhill suites orlando convention center on universal blvd. for 6 nights sept. 2013. The hotel has a good location very near universal studios (2.5 miles north), disney (12 miles south) and seaworld ( 3 miles south) and has bus services right outside the hotel door with iride and lynx buses runing a few blocks west on international dr. The hotel is besides a hamptonn inn and a residence inn and international dr. is just 2 blocks behind the hotel where you can find a lot of restaurants like bahama breeze, tgi fridays, olive garden, sr frogs, dennys, etc and budget places like subway and dominos, as well as a walgreens and movie theathes across the street. If you ask the front desk will give you a paper indicating all the nearby restaurants on international drive cause on universal where the hotel is at theres nothing close by. We stayed here due to the good rate of 75 usd per night i got and the close location to universal and other parks and the complimentary transportation to disney which is on a blue bus that stops outside the hotel and has 3 scheduled times to disney: 745a, 1030a, 1215p. and from disney at 6p, 830 and 1030p. Bus driver Santiago is a great guy and fun to ride daily to disney parks. To universal even though its much closer, just over 2 miles north the hotel doesnt have transportation there so you can either take iride outside the htl and get off at wet & wild and walk about .7 mile or take a taxi which is quite cheap at 10 usd and takes less than 10 minutes. The hotel areas are nice and modern, specially the lounge and gym which i like it has 24 hour open schedule like all marriots chain hotels. The breakfast is nothing special, just over continental with scrambled eggs and sausages or bacon, but gets you started. The rooms are quite strange in the design and distribution but look recent outfitted. Our stay was overall good except for the arrival when we got at 2pm and got a first floor room which i then was advised i had it reserved due to my marriott requests but for some unknown reason was changed to a first floor room that then on our second day i was offered to change to floor 7 but didnt want due to our unpacked bags, i appreciate the hotel concern by receiving a letter from the asistant manager regarding this. So in all is a good choice for orlando if you are visiting for the parks or a business going to the convention center, 1 block away.

Room Tip: double check upon arrival if what you reserved is available cause i reseved it 5 months in advance a...

I stayed here for just one night before my flight home. Great location near all the fun stuff on I-Drive, but tucked away from most of the traffic if you know your way around or use Google Maps with traffic turned on.

Nice clean accommodations. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Decent breakfast. What more can one ask for?

We stayed in a king suite recently. SpringHill is like a little bit more upscale Hampton Inn (there is one next door). Very nice staff, very clean and modern hotel. You can tell it is a bit older, but they keep it up very well. The king room has a half wall that separates the bed and the living area. The living area has a tv (2 for the room), couch, desk, and wet bar area. The AC is on the wall by the window next to the bed, the air has a long way to travel to reach the other side of the room (there is a ceiling fan). It didn't both me at all, but kind of odd. Also, the half wall leave like 3 inches between it and the bed. The AC unit is loud, but it didn't bother me either. The shower has 2 heads (in the same area, not across, sorry!), which was nice. The gym was very nice, clean towels, real water cups, and an awesome treadmill. Breakfast was pretty good, the Canadian bacon was nasty but that's a personal preference! SpringHills are awesome.

Thank you for the great review, we appreciate the feedback and, of course, love to get hear we are better than the Hampton Inn next door. The dual shower heads is a great feature expecially after a long day and the convention centerr or the attractions. Our staff is top level and always do a great job on the guestrooms, breakfast and front desk. We look forward to serving you on your next trip.
