Excellent bang for the buck, but with some caveats. Stayed there during spring break (Mar 14 - 19, 2005) and had an extremely good rate of $70/day via Priceline. Distance to Downtown Disney is a bit far compared to other, more expensive hotels in the area (e.g., Hilton, Grosvenor), but still walkable. The restaurant (Trader's Bay) was surprisingly good, with some interesting dinner entrees and a decent breakfast buffet. However, in some aspects the hotel is showing it's age: The rooms, though clean, had peeling wallpaper in some spots. "Free" wireless internet access is available only in the lobby and above the 16th Floor, so I had to bring my laptop to the lobby a few times. To compensate, the internet via the room TV is free, but the resolution of the TV was poor and the interface was a bit sluggish. "Free" newspaper was not delivered to the room, but rather in a first-come-first-serve at the hotel restaurant. Finally, the air conditioning units were so noisy that we turned them off after the first night. Thank the heavens it was spring and not the middle of summer! All in all, it was a good experience with some bad aspects, but given the relatively low price, the entire stay was above average (4 out of 5).
