Whats to say? If your planning a trip to WDW, stay here! This by far is the best resort if your like me and are traveling with a family and have pre or school aged children. The pools, grounds, are beach area are just simply beautiful! Upon arrival you are greeted with a women giving Hawaiian lays, the check in was so also very smooth. I was given the room I requested ahead of time and everyone was so friendly. I could of simply not of had a better time!

Such a peaceful resort. It offers a bit of relaxation away from the parks. The pool is great.-- love the zero entry. The sand is nice for the kids to play. Captain Nemo's could use a bit of a larger dining area, but the food is good, maybe try for offtimes. Rooms are on the larger side. Lit torches in the night, birds of paradise, fountains, and white sand: what's not to love? Monorail is super convenient here, even moreso than the Contemporary, believe it! Hands down my fave resort at WDW.

Myself and my family had 2 connecting rooms at the Poly for a 3 night stay in a club level room for a pre-Christmas Disney visit before the parks became busy.
Basically - it was me, my husband and my Mum and Dad...my parents had not been to Disney since they took me a little girl 20 years ago...the Poly was always the resort we wanted to stay.......so 20 years later we not only booked the Poly but as i found a great rate through expedia also the added treat of a club room.
The service was top notch from the second we arrived - as club guest we did not have to go to the main lobby - we were met by the bellman and taken in a golf cart with our luggage straight to the Hawaii building - he checked us into our room and then all i had to do was visit the concierge in the lobby of that building and sign a couple of documents while my family were busy checking out the lounge. We even got my parents their Disney tickets at the club lounge. After that we hopped on the boat and were in Magic Kingdom within an hour of arriving at Disney.
We used the lounge a lot - we generally enjoyed the continental breakfast, went to the parks - arrived back at the hotel just in time to catch afternoon tea or early evening appetizers and then went back to the parks for the evening and finally ended each evening with wine and dessert in the lounge. We also enjoyed the view from the lounge and watched the fireworks show there 2 evenings out of 3. Overall it really added to our enjoyment of the resort and i highly recommend it. The food / drinks were plentiful and the staff more than willing to give you bottles of water for your room.
The rooms were nice - large, very comfy beds, nice balcony, nice plasma TV with a million Disney channels! They were a little dark and the bathrooms have a slightly odd layout but nothing that will ruin your stay!
We only ate at the Kona Cafe in the Poly (apart from the club lounge) - it was actually better than expected - fresh and not badly priced.
I loved loved loved the location - we took the boat to MK, the Monorail to Epcot, the buses to Animal and Hollywood - very easy.
The pools both looked lovely - it was little too cold for us to use them - but they looked very nice and for a quieter experience head to the lap pool as all the kids are at the Volcano Pool.
I would happily stay there again - mainly because the location is so fantastic and i would definitely try to do the club room if i could find a good discount rate.

My husband and I celebrated out 30th wedding anniversary at the Polynesian from Nov. 1 thru the 8th. This was our first time at WDW and we had a fabulous time. We chose the Poly because of the monorail and the proximity to the Transportation Center. We used the on-line check-in and the Magic Express. Everything was a breeze. There was no waiting when we got to the Reception area and we were given exactly what we requested - a garden view room in Rapa Nui on the top floor. The room was clean and spacious. I loved have 6 dresser drawers and the day bed to pile things on. Mouse Keeping was excellent. We were on the dining plan and ate several counter meals at Captain Cook's. The staff there were very helpful in explaining the plan to us.

When we checked in we were both given Happy Anniversary buttons. We wore them all the time and were so glad we did! We were constantly congratulated by cast members and other guests at all the parks and the resorts. It made us feel very special!

My only issue in the entire vacation was that a lot of the rides have skimpy leg room. I have knee problems so I had to turn sideways and extend my legs into my husband's space. He was a real sweetheart, trying to make sure I was as comfortable as could be. Overall we had a great time and look for to celebrating our 31st anniversary there!

My family of four adults stayed at Disney's Polynesian Resort for two nights.

The lower level of the lobby (called The Great Ceremonial House) is beautiful. The upper level has both of the resort's full service restaurants as well as a few more stores. If you go upstairs during popular meal times, be prepared for many crowds and a lot of noise. We did not eat at either restaurant during our stay, but have enjoyed dinner at Ohana in the past.

Our room overlooked the Magic Kingdom. We were directly across from Space Mountain. We were on the ground floor and could walk right out on to the beach. It was spectacular! I couldn't imagine being in a room on a higher floor and not be able to have that immediate access.

The room was huge and had plenty of room for four adults. While the room was pretty, the recent renovation (2006) left the decor a little mismatched. The shower was not designed properly and was awkward to use.

Housekeeping did a great job and our room was spotless upon arrival and maintained during our stay.

The transportation to the Magic Kingdom is great. You can take either the resort launch, the parking lot ferry or the monorail. Keep in mind that the resort launch and parking lot ferry do not operate during Extra Magic Hours and your only option is the monorail.

I would stay here again and will definatley recommend this to my clients, friends and family.
