WE stayed at the Polynesian 9/22-9/24. We had Tokelau room 2912. My parents in 2911, connecting room. These are great partial lagoon view rooms at garden view prices. We liked the location and closeness to the beach so we could watch Wishes and the Electric Water Parade at night. The only bad thing about this location right now is construction is going on in the Hawaii building, which these rooms face, and we could hear the construction noise when my kids were trying to nap. Luckily, we had a noise machine, so it wasn't too bad.

We loved the convenience of the monorail to get to MK, and my 3 year old son said "woohooo!!!!" as we drove in the golf cart to our room. I think that was his favorite part. Unfortunately, we did not get to swim in the Volcano Pool as it rained on our down day, and the other day we spent at MK, but it sure looked fun. I thought the rooms were basic hotel fare and not really worth the $200+price tag, but I guess its what they say...location,location,location. I did like the theming of the resort and the Polynesian feel. It makes me want to go back to Hawaii....hmmm. Soon.

We recently stayed at the Poly from Sept 1-3. We were in the Tokelau building. We had a garden view but if we leaned over the balcony a little we could see the castle and fireworks, which I felt very lucky. The pool was so much fun and all the restaurants were really good especially O'Hana. It was all you care to eat of skewers of steak, shrimp, turkey and pork.

The room needed to be updated but was very roomy and clean and even had a day bed which I think was a very nice touch. It was a nice quiet resort. I just wish it did not cost so much money. I think the price should have been a little lower than what they were charging.

“New, upgraded rooms make it worth it!”

Disney's Polynesian Resort

I have stayed at the Polynesian since I was a child and have always enjoyed it. Fortunately upon our arrival, we were informed that the resort was going through a facelift and were asked if we would like to stay in the newly remodeled rooms.

The rooms had just been redone with a 32 inch flat screen LCD tv, new decor and furniture, comfortable beds, installed mini fridge, and great bathrooms.

It looked like several other buildings were in mid construction so I assume more will be upgraded very soon. Captain Cook's is a great place for a cheap and healthy breakfast. We didn't eat at O'hana's because the wait was always so long. Next time I will make researvations before arriving.

“Perfect Vacation, Perfect property for kids”

Disney's Polynesian Resort

We spent a week in August at Disneys Polynesian resort with our two daughters, 5 and 9. We wanted to make sure that we picked the best spot for our first visit to Disney with the kids. We couldn't have been more pleased. We had a wonderful vacation and I kept forgetting that I was in Flordia. For a minute or two it does make you believe you are in Oahu. The view of the fireworks and the electric water parade are wonderful from the beach. The restaurants were very good, the rooms were spacious and clean. We lucked out and had a wonderful view of the castle and disneys floridian resort from our rooms. The monorail and transportation center was so convenient. Our only regret was that we wish we could have stayed at the resort longer for a day or two and enjoyed the amenities there instead of the parks. We ate dinner at many other disney hotels and there really wasn't one property that we liked better than the Polynesian. We had a great time and I highly recommend this resort to anyone. We are already planning our next visit.

“Best Hotel in Disney for Kids”

We were so surprised at all the amenities this hotel has to offer. First of all, the pool is awesome. Probably the best one in Disney, complete with a volcano with a slide that goes through it and a huge waterfall that the kids can play under and around. There is also a club for the kids called Peter's Pans that is incredible. It has every thing a kid could ever want to play with there, including a full size movie screen that constantly shows Disney movie's. There is art, dressup and all kinds of awesome things for the kids to do. They even feed them while they are there. My guilt at spending a night out on the town with my husband was totally alleviated when I found out how much my daughter loved it and wanted to go back every day!! It was very affordable also. We also enjoyed the Bistro there at the hotel which has the best menu and food. The grounds were incredibly beautiful. We also rented the little boats at the marina and also took an evening cruise on a pontoon boat during the fireworks which was a once in a lifetime experience - amazing. We took the aqua taxi to the other hotels to check out their restaurants and bars and it was incredibly romantic under the stars. They had lovely shops and during Feb everything was on sale so I loaded up on lots of clothes, bathing suits and other trinkets that I probably would not have purchased otherwise. The room was nice and comfortable and all of the staff was incredibly sweet and wonderful. My daughter received balloons and a signed picture of Mickey and Minnie on her birthday so she was thrilled. We rode the monorail every night during the fireworks to get a birdseye view and it was awesome. I read alot of negative reviews prior to our trip so I was very wary about staying at a Disney property, but I have to say it was the best vacation of my life and I'm an adult!! There are nicer properties there but if you have little ones the Polynesian Resort truly is the best place on earth!!
