“A classic Disney hotel”

We just got back from a 4 night stay at this fantastic resort. Yes, there is construction going on but it's really not a huge deal. They are giving out free passes to Blizzard beach to make up for the main pool being closed. The pool that is still open is still very nice with incredibly warm water. Rooms are fine but the great things about this resort are the service (all the employees constantly smiling and saying "aloha", the location and the restaurants. So easy to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. It's tough to have a bad stay at WDW and we would gladly stay at this fine property again

Stayed at the Poly the week of August 5th. This is my second time staying here. Stayed in Tuvalu lagoon view room. We had a great view looking out towards the water. We were able to see the top half of the castle and watch the fireworks and water parade each night. Fantastic! The room was very clean and mouse keeping keep the room looking great each day. My only complaint about the room is that the sliding glass door did not lock properly.

The volcano pool was closed during our stay but the east pool was very nice. We swam each day and the pool was never crowed. We were give complementary passes to blizzard beach for the length of our stay. Even though there was construction going on, we never heard a thing and barely noticed except for the decorative construction walls. It really never bothered us.

The monorail was great and even though it was on limited hours it did not bother us. We did take bus one day to get to CRT. The bus made only one stop at the GF and then to the MK. It took about 10-15 minutes to get to MK from Poly by bus.

Overall, we would stay here again. Can't wait to go back!

I recently stayed at the Polynesian Resort Club Level, Magic Kingdom facing room and thought it was fabulous. The food throughout the day was convenient and the food was pretty good. Mostly snack type items but good enough for a days calories while visiting the parks. At night adult beverages were available as well as other great drink choices. The room had two double beds with a couch that converted into a twin bed. The twin bed was perfect for our 14 year old son. One person slept in one double bed while a child and adult slept in the other. The club level eating area provided a great place to view the fireworks. Our room provided a great view as well.

Room Tip: I wouldn't pick the Magic Kingdom option again at this hotel because of the distance. The view w...

We knew going in that the Poly was under construction for the new DVC villas. And despite a few inconveniences, it was still a very comfortable stay. Disney did a nice job of blocking the view of the mess with temporary walls that were painted to match the decor and added photo op cut outs of Disney characters. But we were still able to experience some of the finer aspects of this deluxe resort.

PROS:
OHANA, OHANA, OHANA!!! Get your reservation the minute to book your trip. Best restaurant on the property!
Comfortable room with plenty of space
Roomy and more upscale bathroom
Mini fridge
Very friendly front desk staff
Easy access to monorail and ferry boat

CONS:
Pathway to transportation center (monorail to Epcot) was detoured due to the construction. The detour pathway is an extra long walk compared to the normal route.
Kids' club was closed due to construction.
Volcano themed pool was closed due to construction, but to be fair, they provided guests with access to the Grand Floridian large pool and a one day pass to Blizzard Beach. We didn't use it, but appreciated it nonetheless.

Overall, we had a great time. I would stay here again.

I didn't know what to expect since I didn't research this hotel at all (my co-worker chose it and I followed along). I arrived and was pleasantly surprised. It was almost like a Hawaiian experience (I say almost because nothing compares to being at the real thing). You are greeted everywhere with "Aloha" and when you arrive you are given a lei. Cute touch. The actual room was excellent. The beds were great, everything was extremely clean, loved the decor. The bathroom had double sinks and even though I was solo it is always good to know there are 2 sinks for future bookings. The only thing I was disappointed in was that the main pool was under construction. There was no mention of this at any time during booking.

This hotel is undergoing extensive renovation. It will be fantastic when finished but at the moment it isn't fair to be paying top disney prices to stay here when there are so many other great disney hotels. Several areas are boarded up and there isn't really much of a disney feel and several facilities are closed.

We were here for a long weekend last month and had a pleasant experience. We have two small children and the proximity to Disney and the monorail was ideal. We knew about the renovations beforehand, so it wasn't a shock. I read some of the complaints before our stay, and frankly I think those are the type of people who just like to have something to complain about. The main pool was still open at that time, I don't know if I would want to be there after its closing. The entire staff, from front desk to housekeeping, was extremely friendly and helpful the entire stay. The dinner at Kona Café was excellent, the quick service restaurant on the first floor was better than average. The luau was fun for the whole family. I would recommend this resort, but not until the main pool re-opens.
