Stayed at Disney in June, our last family vacation before our daughter heads out to college, and we wanted to make it special. We booked a lagoon view room on the concierge (club) level). Check in was fast, took us to our room fast, but it was really $$$$$$$$$$$$ and not all that I expected. Room was really dated and small. There were 5 of us in our room. Small fridge, and not much else. We did not get a balcony and when I called to ask why, I was told it was because we requested a room with a view, ( we did get a view, cinderella's castle, but only a glass window overlooking the lagoon. A balcony would have made the room feel larger). The club level rooms were nice and we enjoyed our free evening cocktails and the continental breakfast. Appetizers were enough on some nights that you did not need to go out to dinner. Our room was around $680.00 and with resort tax we paid almost $730.00 a night. Many of the people who were staying on this floor mentioned they received a free upgrade. Gee, that would have been nice. It was okay for a one time special vacation, but we won't do it again. Our kids are older and we have been to Disney many times and I think the excitement has worn off. Pool is really nice, beach is okay, grounds are lovely, and it was very nice being able to travel back to our room on the monorail. We stayed 4 nights and almost left one day early. It was okay, but I had stayed here almost 20 years ago and the rooms almost felt the same to me.
