We loved our stay at the Polynesian! The rooms are some of the largest on Disney property. Our longhouse (Rapa Nui) was within walking distance of the transportation center which was wonderful! Our two Children loved the pool and volcano slide. Dinner at the Ohana was delicious and entertaining. We have stayed on Disney property a few times. This being the first at the Polynesian. We will definetly stay here for future visits.

Stayed at Disney in June, our last family vacation before our daughter heads out to college, and we wanted to make it special. We booked a lagoon view room on the concierge (club) level). Check in was fast, took us to our room fast, but it was really $$$$$$$$$$$$ and not all that I expected. Room was really dated and small. There were 5 of us in our room. Small fridge, and not much else. We did not get a balcony and when I called to ask why, I was told it was because we requested a room with a view, ( we did get a view, cinderella's castle, but only a glass window overlooking the lagoon. A balcony would have made the room feel larger). The club level rooms were nice and we enjoyed our free evening cocktails and the continental breakfast. Appetizers were enough on some nights that you did not need to go out to dinner. Our room was around $680.00 and with resort tax we paid almost $730.00 a night. Many of the people who were staying on this floor mentioned they received a free upgrade. Gee, that would have been nice. It was okay for a one time special vacation, but we won't do it again. Our kids are older and we have been to Disney many times and I think the excitement has worn off. Pool is really nice, beach is okay, grounds are lovely, and it was very nice being able to travel back to our room on the monorail. We stayed 4 nights and almost left one day early. It was okay, but I had stayed here almost 20 years ago and the rooms almost felt the same to me.

I stayed here with four kids ages 3-13 and it was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities and rooms were clean, the pool was a hit and the location to the disney parks was perfect. Staying here made a vacation of one adult and four kids a breeze!! Can't wait to come back again!

Perfect.. from the moment you step in to the lobby. Grounds were beautiful. Room was spacious and I loved the decor. We had a garden view with terrace in the Samoa building which was a GREAT location. It was central to everything.. the volcano pool, the quiet pool, transportation and my morning coffee!!
It was a peak travel time so it is understandable that the Volcano pool was very crowded most of the time. So we spent alot of time in the quiet pool. We ate dinner at Kona Cafe and at Ohana's for breakfast with Lilo and Stitch and Ohana's for dinner. We also did the Aloha dinner show. All the food was delicious and there was always something different to chose from. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Disney - I am hooked on the POLY!!

We LOVE it here! We've stayed here 5 times, with kids, teenagers, and adults! It's fabulous!

Check-in: Amazing. You're greeted with leis and the front desk is very kind and helpful. You feel welcomed right away!

Resort: Lobby is beautiful and open-air. Restaurants are good, we've eaten at both Kona Cafe and 'Ohana. We enjoyed the character family-style breakfast at 'Ohana. The pools are absolutely fantastic. There's the main one, which is usually busy and has waterfalls and a slide...right near the beach and dock which is also nice... the second pool is a quieter one which is great.

Location: Awesome!!! A+!! We LOVE the location of this resort! It's right on the monorail, and literally 10 minutes away from the Magic Kingdom. It's wonderful for people who want to spend a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom like we do. The monorail is also great for going to dinner at other hotels on the monorail (Grand Floridian and Contemporary). There's a boat ferry to the Magic Kingdom too, which is fun sometimes.

Room: The rooms are very spacious. Great rooms, we've even stayed in the same one 3 years in a row! We like the Samoa building on the third floor.

We're coming to WDW again in October of this year on Columbus Day weekend. When we booked, we were disappointed to find out that the Polynesian was full. We have a reservation at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and hope we'll enjoy it as much as we always enjoy the Polynesian!
