“Not impressed !!!!”

Perhaps I expected more ??? Just found the entire Disney Caribbean Beach Resoret less
than mediocre. Rooms were small, musty smell and cleanliness was fair.
Also, the food court was quite a distance and this was difficult with small children. Another frustrating moment, which happened often, was waiting and waiting for the bus to take us to one of the theme parks. We wilted a minimum of 30 minutes. Then the bus had to stop around the resort
To pick up more guest. It usually took an hour to get where we were going.Ughhhh!

Room Tip: Stay at Port Royale .......it's closer to the main pool and food area.

Just came back from a week at this resort. We choose this resort because the price was good for a room we were not going to be in at all! The rooms are dated and beds are small not comfortable for 2 adults. The grounds are pretty but expected more. It is a very large resort so expect alot of walking internal buses only come so often! staff was very friendly wich was nice. Bus pick ups from parks for this resort were always far. over all this resort is not bad for its money especially if your not looking to be in it much. I personally will try i deluxe resort You seem to get more accomidations.

Friends who are Disney Vacation club members gave us alot tips about Disneyworld that made our 11 day trip stressfree and lots of fun. I would caution anyone taking a late flight coming in and using the Disney magic express bus - you may want to retrieve your checked baggage and take it with you on the big touring type bus as it may take a few hours or more for your baggage to arrive at your room otherwise (not a big deal if your flight is an early one as check in to rooms is late afternoon anyway).
The rooms at the Carribean were a bit dated but very clean. It would be nice though if they updated the bedspreads. The service at the hotel and all the parks was excellent (so friendly and helpful) throughout our whole trip. The disney transportation was so efficient that there was no need to rent a car. We particularily liked the monorail so we would hop a bus to Epcot and take the monorail from there when we could to our destinations. We loved the pool area, kids poolside activities and evening outdoor movies for families. Grounds were kept in great shape and so clean. We found that there was alot of variety and good food choices at the hotel's quick service restaurants, we could't believe that you could get a grilled salmon fillet at the quick service (it was delicious!). The Dine-in restaurant was great too. You can go to any of the Disney hotels to enjoy their quick service and dine-in restaurants. We recommend getting the Disney dining plan and there was always someone there at the restaurants and quick service spots to help us with understanding how to use them. By the second full day, we had it mastered. We strongly recommend booking dining experience restaurants well ahead (a few months ahead) of arrival. Using the fastpass system for selected rides and attractions saves alot of time from waiting in line. During peak times, it works great if you have park hopper passes as you could find that return time is several hours later and you could go elsewhere and then return to the short line for rides. It was our Daughter's 10th birthday and I forgot to order a birthday wakeup call and cake for our dinner reservation til after we arrived at the hotel and to my surprise and relief all was handled very easily with a simple phone call. Our trip was the best trip we have ever taken and we enjoyed it so much that we're planning on coming back in 2013. Yes, we would stay at the Carribean again. We liked the atmosphere, friendliness and cleanliness.

spent the Vetrans day weekend at the Caribbean beach resort, our 2 kids (6 and 2 ) liked it very much as the main pool was very nice and well maintained with numerous life guards. great for adults as bar was nearby! Also numerous kid activities every day. from night time outside movie shows to pool games.

As adults, we thought it was fine for a moderate priced disney property. the bus stops were close by and where we stayed, (area is divided into 6 zones) was close enough for a 5 minute walk to the main dinning hall. at Old port royale (so pick a place near there) as this has the only dinning location.

we did use room service and a large pizza and 2 beers and a wine with tip was 35.00. thats par for disney and was quick! and not bad.

granted you could get a cheaper rate outside of disney , but this was close enough for a quick bus ride to all the parks and downtown disney. and we were able to take bus back to room for naps and breaks from park.

just a few tips, granted these rooms are small, BUT you are here to visit the magic kingdom etc. not spend the whole day in the room. If you want Nice room try another disney hotel BUT it's more $$.

also the pirate themed rooms are not worth the extra money, the only extra decour was a a pirate themed bed and bath room (all in nice condition) save your money. the place was clean and when we had an issue (light was out) the house keeping was very quick to help. Plus they made cute animals for the kids out of towels etc.
we did use laundry and the laundry area was very clean and cost only $2.00 a load.

over all nice place worth the moderate price . If want to save more my in laws were at Pop century which was cheaper but smaller rooms.

the area also has boats to rent and guided fishing events. but we didn't try these.
also one other tip. if you use the magical express bus, your luggage can take up to 3 hours to be delivered SO pack a quick change of cloths. but nice to have someone else do the driving when you arrive.

Room Tip: ask for 1st floor room, as no evaluators.

We had a dining plan but found it was better eating out in the evenings at other Disney areas as the food was much better and warmer and it was included in our plan. The staff wasn't very helpful when we first arrived as we didn't understand the dining plan but over the 2 weeks we figured it out. The complex was spotless always clean and tidy specially as we went out of main season. The shuttle service to all Disney parks was exceptional was so near to our area. We loved our holiday but was disappointed on the food would be better to have different food each night.

First of all this hotel was very expensive. Our tv and wifi did not work the whole time. We called and were told we needed to call another extension and when we did they said they couldnt help us. Very very disappointed. Also the lock on our door was broken, so when we left the room anyone could just come by and open the door. I am saddened that Disneys high standards are gone. I will never stay at a Disney hotel again

My husband & I have been bringing our children & now grandchildren to Disney since 1991, every other year. Due to the fact that we have always been a very large party, we have always rented beautiful spacious condos off property. This October, traveling with just my daughter & granddaughter I had my first experience of staying on property at The Caribbean Beach Resort. It was such a wonderful experience that I will now always stay on property, just need to add a few more rooms next time!! I was a bit nervous relying totally on Disney transportation from the airport to all the parks and not having a car, which we did for the ten days that we were there. It was the best!! No problems, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. To & from the airport was the easiest I have ever encountered. The buses from the resort to the parks came quickly and in no time we were at the parks. That was the best, no worries & easy bus stops at our resort. The rooms were great, clean and spacious enough for the three of us. The resort was beautiful with its gardens and lake. My granddaughter who is 3 enjoyed the beach and never questioned that she could not go in the water, it was all about the sand. Every staff member that we encountered was fabulous, from checking in with Sandy, who was a doll, bell services, chambermaids, gift shop attendants, food court staff, grounds keepers, and security, because we locked ourselves out of the room one night to see the fireworks from Epcot which you can see from this resort. Security was there within minutes, but also checked our ID once they let us in the room which I thought was great. We ended up having to extend our stay one more night due to hurricane Sandy, flying into NY. The resort gave us a hurricane discount that was greatly appreciated. I would defiantly recommend this resort. We did the dining plan, it was great, made our reservations for table service online from home and with our key to the world, another hassle free experience! Disney is the Best!!
