Although I have stayed at this Holiday Inn at Downtown Disney before, and thought the room, service and other amenities excellent, it actually just got better with my last visit. Although bit disappointed with the view from my "pool view" room in the corner, everything else more than made up for it. Fresh-brewed coffee by the cup in our room, microwave, safe, comfortable bed and tasteful appointments -- all were to be expected. However, the atomic water pressure in the tub and sink did not extend to the shower -- where I literally had to run around under the shower head to get wet. A word on the way out to the desk -- and that night -- the BEST shower ever! These people know customer service. And we WILL be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not in the corner. Unless you want solitude, then it's a great trade-off...

The hotel has recently been refinished and looks very good. The staff are very friendly and very helpful at the front desk and the bellman. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the expensive breakfast buffet. The first day we did not see the omelet and waffle station as the cook was in the back and it was not marked. The second day we had to ask if he was available. And we were never offered a menu or given the price until we received our bill. I do not know if you could order off a menu or what that would cost, but $24 seemed steep. My other complaint was there was no cream for coffee only milk. We were at a meeting in the building and had the same issue here. The meeting rooms were very nice. And the walk to Downtown Disney is not too far

Room Tip: There are 2 buildings so if you want to be near another guest be sure you know which building and wh...

My husband and I just stayed at this hotel when we went down for the Walt Disney Marathon Weekend. At first I thought that it would be hard to get around to the events and race but I was soon enlightened by just what a great spot this is. It keeps you away from all the craziness but still close enough to get to everything. The hotel and unique with its set up and the rooms are clean. I get a balcony with a view of Downtown Disney. The view was a little disappointing but okay. The hotel is a little walk from Downtown Disney but from there you can catch a bus to any hotel in the park and then to any park. We spend much of our time in Downtown Disney which was wonderful. As for shuttles to the race events, the Saratoga Springs hotel is not far away and that is where I caught the shuttle to the expo and the race starts. It was nice enough that I would stay again.

Room Tip: If you want the view as for a room high up. There are 13 floors.

Stayed 3 nights for the WDW Marathon. Room was clean and comfortable. Comfortable beds, pillows, flat screen TV, mini fridge, coffee station, ironing board/iron...all the basic comforts. Plenty of hot water and shower pressure. About half the rooms have a balcony that overlook a nice pool area. Plenty of parking. Bar/pool food was good. Buses ran every half hour on time. Lots of restaurants/shopping nearby. Traffic was a bit of a nightmare but many of the roads were closed for the marathon/half marathon that weekend. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Maid service was accomodating. Check out not until 2pm was nice. Good value for the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view upon checkin

We just got back from staying at this hotel (January 9-12, 2013). The location was awesome, walking distance to Downtown Disney and a short ride to the Disney Parks. The staff from the valet to the restaurant staff was just wonderful and ready to make our stay the best! While we didn't swim in the pool the pool area was very inviting and we enjoyed sitting by the pool for a relaxing evening drink. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The view of Downtown Disney and the nightly view of the Disney fireworks were perfect! Thanks Holiday Inn for making our weekend stay the best! I highly recommend this hotel for your next Disney/Universal visit, I know we'll stay there again for sure!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony with a view of Down Town Disney and the nightly Disney fireworks.

Stayed here for 3 nights for a family vacation.

Hotel is typical "Holiday Inn" standards. Not luxurious but definitely clean and comfortable. There's lot of sapce in the bedroom but the toilet is kinda small with the shower area feeling a bit squeezy.

This will be an excellent choice for those not driving as there's a free bus service to the Disney Parks and there's a cluster of restaurants nearby at Vineland Road (a couple of streets away).

However, for those who are driving or planning to visit other parks, the hotel is more expensive than average due to its location being near to Disney. For the same price, you can have lots of choice of hotels nearer to town at a cheaper price.
