I was in Orlando for a conference and this was the suggested hotel. Lousy suggestion in my opinion. Close to Disney, like right across the street, so if you are 10 years old this place would be awesome. But as an adult there on business and looking to entertain some customers the hotel had no amenities (lousy bar and lousy restaurant) and it was a long taxi ride from any decent places.

What an amazing weekend... The Buena Vista Palace offers comfort, gorgeous atmosphere, amazing staff and the perfect get away... This was our 3rd time staying with them and each time the service has been over the top.. The location is why we always choose to stay here... It is within walking distance for an evening stroll at the Disney Market and it is with in easy driving distance to off-site restaurants and Malls. One more amazing visit was to the Spa.... I felt like I was in Heaven... LOVED IT....Can't wait for next years visit. One of the things I really appreciate is that they offer locals discounts for a weekend Get Away... You will be very happy when you chose the Buena VIsta Palace and Spa.....

We booked this hotel as part of a special package the hotel was running. We heard of this package via TravelZoo.com
We got a great rate - $99 per night including (2) breakfasts buffets each morning. The hotel has just been updated and is very nice. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast buffet was excellent - omelet station, carving station, fresh fruit, oatmeal, eggs, pancakes, meats, bagels, etc. They also host a character breakfast on Sunday morning with the characters available for photos. This can really save time when you go to the parks. If you get your pics at breakfast,, you won't have to wait in line for the photos while at the parks. This is just included as part of the breakfast.
We stayed at the hotel to go to Disney. We were able to walk to Downtown Disney although there was also a shuttle. Free shuttles run every 1/2 hour to all of the Disney parks and to Downtown Disney.
The outdoor pool was heated and open 24 hours a day.
Free internet access in the downstairs area near the spa.
There is a cafe/store open until 11:30 pm each night, so if you wanted a snack it was readily available.
The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and nice.
We enjoyed our stay and had nothing that we would change.
We will definitely return.

After staying in multiple hotels in the USA and abroad, can't give this hotel a better review. Understaffed, terrible phone and Internet service, poor housekeeping added negative points. On the other hand, it is fair to say that the rooms and other areas of the hotel underwent a good renovation.
For families in a budget is excellent return for their investment.
