We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Studio City late November for two weeks. This is only my second review on TripAdvisor and having read endless reviews before travelling I had to write my own. All the staff we encountered during our stay were really friendly and helpful. The location is great (there's both i-ride and lynx bus stops right outside - we only used the i-ride, IHOP and Denny's next door, 711 opposite and a Walgreens very close by too). Before staying we emailed the hotel asking for a high floor (because of the reviews/recommendations we'd already read!) and our three rooms on the 16th floor were all lovely, clean and had fantastic views - ours overlooked the mini golf next door which was particularly nice.
We didn't have a car during our stay so booked the free hotel shuttles each morning to either Disney or Universal Studios (all very reliable and prompt). You have to book the same morning between 7-7.30am at reception for Universal, you can book for Disney the night before. There were 3 shuttles to Universal the last being 12pm and two coming home the last being 7.35pm. There's 2 shuttle times to choose from to Disney 8.30am or 10am (drops at Epcot) and two coming home 6pm or 9.45pm. The last pick up time for Disney is still too way early for the Magic Kingdom and Epcot fireworks though. We stayed for both and got a taxi home from outside Epcot - both times it was $32 running on meter but worth it to see the fireworks!
Travelling in December the hotel had a beautiful tree up in reception and I-Drive, the parks and the i-ride trolleys were all decorated beautifully. The hotel has a go-green scheme in place where if you don't require room service that day they will give you a $5 voucher so we collected a few of these over the three rooms which paid for breakfast one morning! Nice touch. (Each room had 2x double beds anyway and 4 towels so every other day was sufficient). They put a complimentary bottle of water in each room daily or if you ask at reception they're more than happy to give you a few bottles anyway which is lovely - especially when it's hot! The pool area is lovely and clean, pool bar serves great snacks (pizza, flatbread etc) and cocktails too. There's a free BBQ on Wednesdays that we missed but might be worth noting and they do outdoor film showings for kids also.
The best places we ate at on I-Drive were Black Angus Steakhouse, TGI Friday's, Denny's, Maggiano's Little Italy, IHOP for breakfast, and Uno's Grill which were all amazing. We particularly loved Little Italy but would recommend all of the above. There's also some great places in Epcot - the sit down restaurants in Italy, China and the pub in England all did lovely food. Also Bob Marley's, the Hard Rock Cafe and Bubba Gumps in City Walk were very good too.
Overall a fantastic hotel and a fantastic holiday. We were very sad to leave! x
