“Yet another fantastic holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

What can I say but from arriving at the hotel the day we landed to the door being opened the experience began.
The staff just getting out of the van/taxi were incredibly helpful could see we had travelled along way and were tired so helped a single mum and daughter with my bags into the reception area.
Check in was fast, offered drinks whilst we checked in and went through everything - nothing was too much trouble.
Room was emaculately clean and well furnished and the bell hop who took our bags up was really helpful.
Jennifer on the navigator desk was brilliant in helping us determine what and where and when we wanted to see the attractions and in providing overall helpful and useful information.
I-Ride literally just outside the front but if you were particularly lazy getting a taxi was no issue and was immediate with amazing courtesy applied at all times.
Pool very large and clean and the kids pool area although not always attended if you asked they made sure someone was there for the slides.
Pool bar the best every -amazing staff and nothing too much trouble again, towels supplied and even suncream.
The hotel overall was immaculate inside and out and very safety conscious if there was a thunderstorm, they even came to find you if you wanted to go back out to the pool once the issue had been dealt with - thunderstorms.
Food is rather limited in terms of types but the service is never the less amazing and the standard the food was cooked to was second to none.
Hotel is right opposite Seaworld and is a 5 mins walk - you also got some discounts as well - always nice when you are on a big expensive holiday.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough and although it is off the I-Drive it is a 5 min I-Ride trolley up there but have to say that regardless this is the place that I will return to again and again - you cannot get service like that anywhere else.
The staff definitely made the holiday because nothing was too much trouble but they also took the time to listen and talk to you.

Room Tip: I would personally always go for a Pool view but if you ask for the front of the hotel you will get...

Green Features: Brilliant, you decided when you wanted to change towels etc.....

We stayed at the Renaissance for one night during August. This was our second visit to the hotel and decided to return as we enjoyed our original 11 night stay so much. We were not disappointed on our second visit. The hotel just gets better! Glass of fizz on arrival was a nice touch and very welcome after a busy day @ Seaworld.

Our room was on the third floor overlooking the atrium. It was very large, the beds were extremely comfortable and facilities were excellent. Great to have safety deposit box provided free of charge, fridge and great selection of tv channels. Kids also loved the Shamu in the bathroom! I loved the toiletries.

Since our original visit the hotel has clearly been trying to encourage families to stay and it felt less corporate. Many people were still staying there on business, but, those on holiday didn't seem out of place. The kids area, is fabulous and a great addition since our last visit.

We were given passes by concierge (like fast passes) for Seaworld, they were excellent, we got on the rides within minutes and rarely had to wait.

We didn't eat in the hotel on the evening, instead we ventured to International drive on the I-trolley, which was great and easy to use.

Breakfast at the hotel was lovely and we all opted for the buffet, which had a vast array of choice, yummy omelette!

Would love to return again if we visit Orlando.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at the Renaissance for 10 days attending a conference and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was big and clean with a balcony facing the swimming pool. The venue of the conference was also quite nice and well equipped. The swimming pool was also large and clean, which we have been enjoyed a lot. The location is perfect if you plan to go to the Seaworld, which is just across the street and you get free quick queue pass and early entrance on some days as this is a seawater official parter hotel. The i-ride trolley is just outside the hotel, which makes it easier to go around in the city. The staff members are very kind and friendly, especially the front desk.
The only thing we didn't like was the room service. We missed serval room services in the morning, and no one came in the afternoon to clean our room, and they didn't refill our shampoos or soap bars, so I had to go to the front desk asking more. BTW, the tap water in the bathroom tasted and smelled like chlorine, felt quite sick in stomach after drinking it on the first day. And the A/C units outside the building could be noisy too.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less A/C unit noise. The rooms on the south side are quieter, but don't have...

Dear Sunnyfeng,

Thank you you for your review of our property. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay for your conference and also had the time to squeeze in a visit to SeaWorld! I'll begin with the basics, this Renaissance lives up to the standards I've come to expect from the Renaissance name over the years in every way. Prior to our first stay we were a little concerned that this location would lack the elegance of other Renaissance venues due to its proximity to Sea World but that simply isn't the case. If you are a frequent Renaissance visitor you can choose this hotel without fear.

What impressed me most was the way this hotel manages to cater to a variety of visitors without sacrificing anything for any of them.

If you are looking for a luxurious, quiet, relaxing hotel with solid upscale dining and an excellent bar you'll be completely satisfying. How this obviously busy hotel manages to be maintained to such a high standard is beyond me but the building is in excellent shape, rooms are well appointed and luxurious, and it fits anything you'd expect from a Renaissance.

If you're a business traveler you'll find a spacious room with ample work space and a quiet environment despite the prevalence of families with children staying to enjoy Sea World. They also do a great job keeping parking private which can be a challenge directly across from a major attraction.

As for families you'll find something for everyone. The water-park area is clean and spacious with plenty to occupy children. Parents will enjoy the up-scale dining option and bar along with luxurious decor while children still have an ice cream shop and Sea World themed decor throughout. The rooms are also very large to help fit a large family and our room had a sleeper sofa with plenty of room even with the bed pulled out. On top of it all you can't beat being directly across the road from the main entrance to Sea World. No need to deal with busy attraction parking, bus rides, or a long walk across busy roads. Cross a quiet road directly in front of the hotel main entrance and you're immediately crossing the Sea World parking lot into the main entrance.

Excellent hotel in every way.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor. Elevators are ample and quick but low-floor rooms are often directly above the...

We stayed at the Renaissance for the last two weeks of August and couldn't rate it highly enough!
Our room was large and airy - we had windows facing outwards which I know isn't the case for all rooms as some overlook the inner foyer so are darker. Although we didn't have a spectacular view (basically the car park) it meant it was quiet so we were happy.

The room was cleaned daily to a high standard and new toiletries including a new tube of toothpaste were left daily. A very nice touch was the rubber Shamu the Whale toy for kids left on the bath side.

The water from the sink, although drinkable was a bit salty for British tastes but there's fresh iced water available every day in the foyer and an ice machine on the landing. There are bottles of Evian water left in the rooms but you would have to pay for these.

We had a continental breakfast included with our room rate and it was delicious. We're vegetarian so worry beforehand about being able to eat anything but the food was lovely: toast, bagels, muffins, two or three types of cheese, fresh fruit and veg - there was a juicer on the buffet table, porridge and cereals. The hot breakfast enjoyed by other visitors included pancakes, omelettes and waffles made to order by a chef, various meat things and hot biscuits. Unlimited orange juice, tea and coffee was available with the buffet option.

We received great service - Caitlyn on the concierge desk and Deicee in the restaurant were absolutely brilliant and should be given instant pay rises!

The hotel itself is opposite Sea World. There is a free shuttle service but we just walked across the car park. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel where the Linx bus (no. 50) will take you to all the Disney Parks. It's 2 dollars per adult and 1 dollar for kids each way. If you want to go up International Drive to eat or visit other attractions the I trolley stops every 20 mins. You can also catch it to Universal although there is a bit of a walk when you get off. It's best to get a two week pass for the I trolley as then you can get on and off as many times as you wish.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet outside facing room

We just returned from a 3 day stay and I couldn't be more pleased with how things went. The entire staff was excellent. From the front desk to the pool crew and everyone in between. Fun for the whole family - and I don't mean just the kids - Sure, there are awesome water slides, 2 kid aqua-zones, a game room, an ice cream parlor and other kid stuff but the adults are not left out. Great restaurants, an amazing sushi bar where Steve makes a great martini, and a Starbucks on site for morning coffee. I have to give a shout-out to Billy on the outdoor crew. What a personable young man and an all around great guy- Whether manning the water slides, or working poolside, this guy is on it. He really helped make our time there enjoyable and kept the safety of the kids and comfort of the guests as his top priority. He was a pleasure to talk to and the type of guy you want on your staff.
When they say walking distance to Sea World, they aren't kidding. My family walked across the parking lot and was at the park gate within minutes. We even got Quick Queues to use at the park and got to avoid lines. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better trip. The room was fine and the view of the lobby is awesome. A few tips from me -- Call directly for the best rates as we got a great deal that was better than any online offer - Check your bill when you leave - We were charged for both valet and self-parking each day we were there.. We were also charged for kids meals which were supposed to be included - Both issues were resolved relatively easily, but just an FYI.. All the charges have not cleared our account yet, but I am hoping all issues were corrected prior to leaving.
There is no doubt that this is our place to stay when we visit Orlando again.

From the moment you pull up you are treated to five star service. Friendly staff , and complimentary champagne, made check in a breeze.
The lobby is beyond spacious with small nooks and crannies to curl up and enjoy a good book.
The restaurants are centrally located in the lobby and one at the pool.
The breakfast buffet is excellent. First time I've ever seen a juicer on a buffet. Nice addition!
The rooms are very spacious and clean. We did not find our bed too comfortable the first night so they replaced it with a brand new mattress that was perfect. Very high marks for customer service.
The pool area had a complete make over with a separate mini water park area for kids!
Be sure to check the internet for special rates. We got $30/ night hotel credit and kids eat free with our rate.
Plus they are partners with sea world so you get extra perks there.
So for us, A+
Good job Renaissance!
