“Fan-stinkin-tastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

We had a wonderful, I mean, wonderful time at the Renaissance! The pool was absolutely amazing and the staff impeccable! And maybe this will sound odd, but the elevators were so nice and fast. Everything we needed was right there. Poolside floaty toys for sale and not even ridiculously overpriced. The meal at the hotel was also fantastic. Every last staff member was kind and courteous, extremely helpful.
The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. We stayed in a standard room with 5 people which was a little squishy but we literally only slept in our room. The rollaway beds are free which was also a nice perk.
We were able to walk to SeaWorld no problem. It was probably a closer walk for us than some people had to their cars in the parking lot. With your stay here you also get QuickQue passes at SeaWorld which gets you to the front of the line on a few rides. It wasn't busy so we didn't need it but it might be nice during peak tourist season. You also save 10% on merchandise in SeaWorld.
A few warnings:
Internet costs $15 per day.
Kiddie slides in the toddler area are for 42 inches and taller.
This place was so amazing you'll want to come back over and over again! Will definitely consider returning if we find ourselves in the area again. It's worth it to pay more for a place that will give you a full day of entertainment at the pool.
Also, try Oley's Kitchen and Smokehouse just about 20 minutes away. You WILL NOT regret it! AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! Go to restaurants.com to print off a certificate!

Room Tip: If you are only sleeping in your room don't bother to upgrade your room. They are nice. Check it...

We stayed here 5/7 - 5/14 room 1093 which was located on the 10th floor. It really was home away from home. The hotel is beautiful and very clean as was our room. Our room had a king bed that was very comfortable and spacious as was the bathroom. Everyday our room was meticulously cleaned. We loved the pool area it was so enjoyable and relaxing. We would swim, sun bath, soak are achy muscles in 1 of 2 hot tubs, and order lunch/drinks. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Shayleen (she made us feel very welcomed) who was such a sweetheart and very helpful as was Steven Rosa, and David the navigator. The staff here greatly surpasses any other staff from previous hotels we stayed at. Even the guys out front were great always getting us cabs to head out to various parks and greeting us with a smile when arriving back at the hotel. The hotel being right across from Seaworld was great. Having a Starbucks in the hotel (had breakfast/coffee here every morning) was so convenient and they also had a great staff. We didn't eat at Tradewinds or try the sushi but we had room service on the day we arrived which was delicious as was Palms (pool bar) The gift shop had such an array of merchandise again with a friendly staff. This was an awesome vacation at an amazing hotel and honestly I could have stayed another week. We did so many parks and water parks that I could have used another week alone just spending time at the pool. We slept great every night and I was thrilled at the Aveda products that I used daily. The only hiccup was the last day there was a charge to our room from Tradewinds (dated 5/11 we were out at parks all day) even though we never ate there but Danica at the front desk was quick to rectify the problem. Thank you Renaissance for such a great vacation (it was very hard to leave) and for staffing your hotel with a first rate team of employees. We will be back!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend staying here you will not regret it.

This hotel is truly amazing. The room was fantastic. The pools were fab, especially the toddler pool which was really safe for my 4 yr old and 20 mth toddler. The sunbeds were of a high quality along with the rest of the furnishings at the hotel (there seemed to be plenty of beds free when we were there but we were slightly out of season).

The customer service staff were totally brilliant they gave us lots of information and went out of their way to help us get to all the parks and book the I trolley and get around. The concierge staff were equally as helpful.

The hotel is directly across from SeaWorld, an easy walk, and around the corner from Aquatica

The only down side was the alcoholic drinks were seriously expensive, so was the breakfast (although it was all you can eat breakfast)
We didn't have a car, there is a 7eleven and a CVS store plus a restaurant in walking distance however you have to cross (to a Brit) a very scary crossroads to access them (but part of the American experience). This said the I-Trolly does stop directly outside and was very easy to use.
It was strange to be flipflopping around in your swim wear when there were executives attending meetings, however, this didn't spoil anything and they didn't seem to mind our kids running around.

The overall experience was fantastic and would highly recommend

The staff at the Renaissance was absolutely phenominal!!! My wife and I spent our week long honeymoon here and we'd do it all over again. When you check-in, look for Marian Smith. She's the first impression of what superb service you get to look forward to during your stay. Always friendly and helpful. And if you need ideas for what do, look no further than Desiree & David at the concierge's desk. Extremely friendly, helpful, & just downright fun to talk with. Make sure you stop bye the pool to continue your experience. Luis, Immanuel (Manny), Victoria (Vic), Jonathan, & Eddie will treat you like royalty. The drinks are pretty good too! Lol...Lastly, stop by the spa...even if you don't want a massage. You WON'T regret it. Samantha is who you want to see. We have nothing bad to say about our stay/experience! Tell them the Jackson's said "Hello"

Well where do i start, we arrived here after having a 10hr delay, so arriving at aprox 3am, we didnt manage to sample the champagne on arrival. Check in however was quick and efficient. we got to our room and were thankfull of sleep.
the next morning, we had breakfast at Tradewinds, not the cheapest of breakfast, but service and food second to none.
The pool was clean, and staff were always willing to please, even the lady with the towels was so polite and couldnt do enough for you. Sun loungers were plenty to go round, and the hot tub was just nice to take the 5 mins to chill with.
location is excellent just over the road from Seaworld, and the i ride is directly outside.
There are some reviews on here which i have to agree with, Housekeeping, leaves a lot to be desired, we had to complain on 3 occasions about the bathroom, and the floor not being hoovered. We did get a complimentary tray of fruit, but i would of prefered to have the room cleaned, but a nice touch, but does let the marriot standard down. Yes the breakfast is a little on the expensive side, but if your comparing it to international Drive then there is no comparison.
We were a honeymoon couple and were a little disapointed that even though the travel agent had emailed the hotel direct, when we asked about the adjoining rooms we were also asked for an extra ammount of money to get this, same with a balcony. We also would of thought it would of been a nice touch having arrived late to of been offered the champagne the next day? A simple touch of customer service from Marriot?
but all in all i cant fault the hotel on its location, food, and staff, apart from housekeeping.
Would i return? yes the staff made the hotel and front of desk, pool, staff, bar staff were exceptional. dont listen to the bad reviews, after all, you cant have a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget.

Room Tip: if you can get a higher room its quieter.

This was a great choice seeing how we were only doing sea world and the Aquatica. We could walk to sea world which was really nice with 2 kids under 5. The hotel is older but still very well done. The pool was great and the kiddos really liked the slides and kiddie area. The only bad thing i could say was the beds were hard but i never like hotel beds anyways. The staff was terrific!
