My husband and I were in Orlando for a couple of days to relax. We chose the Renaissance as Platinum Mariott members, and the hotel itself is well kept. The room was huge, with a nice view out to SeaWorld, and the concierge has "jump the line" passes to SeaWorld, which is such a time saver. Although we had been excited to try the Renaissance's own little water park, it was closed without anyone telling us. That was a bit of a disappointment. This was made up by how we were treated in the spa. Although we had to check out early, we were able to go into the pool and then shower in the spa area. That was a nice touch and made better use of our day.

Chose this hotel from those available for our convention, but very disappointed to learn that the room nights were not eligible for Marriott points. First time I have experienced that. Had dinner in Tradewinds - excellent double pork chop with baked potato, onions. Room was OK, required service for air conditioning, took two days before we found a coffee maker in the room.
Bar service was casual, unfriendly, didn't seem to care about guests, slow service.
Would choose another Marriott brand if ever back in Orlando.

Traveled for Business and took my 3yr old son and husband with me. They were entertained the entire time. The water park is amazing and the grounds are so well designed that the pool seems like an entirely different oasis. Comfy loungers and towels, etc.

Food at the pool cafe could be upgraded, slightly disappointing offerings and for a hotel of this level would prefer silverware, plates, real napkins, etc.

Room are spacious and comfy. Love the empty mini fridge for drinks and snacks.

Would definitely return to this hotel in the future w/ family or for business.

The Renaissance Hotel is absolutely stunning. I was lucky enough to visit around Christmas, and got see the site decked out in it's winter finest. I was there as part of a bridal party and the staff was so incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were spotless and spacious, even when we had all of the girls and the bride to get ready. The hotel also has several options for food, drinks, and shopping, which was great when we needed something quick. The grounds are gorgeous as well, featuring a wonderful pool area and two firepits to get cozy around. We also partook of the on site spa, and I was so very glad I did. All of the ladies (and gentlemen!) who worked there were friendly and every treatment they did was stellar. My mani/pedi was beautiful, and the sugar scrub they used as part of the pedicure felt so good.
