“Great location, but noisy neighbours!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We stayed here for 14 nights from may 13. Check in had accommodated our request for a room close to reception as my wife is pregnant, but couldn't offer us a king bed as non were available for our duration of stay. We are both over six feet so the double beds were a little small for us, but still very comfortable. Reception staff were really friendly and explained the reasons why we couldn't have a king bed. We had room 1414 in block A which over looked one of the pools and was just a short stroll to I-Drive. Last year we stayed in a block that was a little further from reception and I must say we preferred block A. Rooms were serviced regularly to a good standard. Our coffee machine dint work but was replaced within the hour. Our room was missing the iron and board but once again one was brought straight away.

The hotel has 3 pools but we only used the one outside our block for convenience. Never had a problem getting beds at anytime during our stay. I noticed the pool was checked a couple of times a week for safety which is very reassuring. You can buy food/drinks from the deli which has a great range although a little pricey. We used to go to Walgreens over the road and buy 24 packs of water for less than $6 and beer for less than $12 and use the fridge provided in the room.

Never ate in the restaurant in the hotel so can't comment, although it looked busy on a daily basis. We used sizzler which is pretty much next door to the hotel for breakfast a couple of times and it was ok, nothing special but still value for money. You have such a great choice for food as you are close to so many good restaurants, including Bahama Breeze, Maggianos and Houlihans. Our favourite was cafe tu tu tango, the food and atmosphere was great. But for a good steak Houlihans is a must.

Take a walk to the Orlando visitor centre which is just a 5 minute walk form hotel and pick up discount vouchers that could save you money off food and attractions.

We used the disney shuttle at $17 per person which was great and a lot cheaper than the $96 for a private taxi! Any questions you have the staff are more than happy to help!

My only criticism of this hotel is the noisy walkways outside the rooms.you can pretty much here everything. I can cope with noise during reasonable daytime hours but on the last 5 mornings the noise from next door started from 0630. It wasn't the people staying in the next room but others visiting the room. I think it could have been a school trip. The kids would congregate around this room and were really noisy. Nothing bad just loud. But the highlight was on the last day at around 6 am a young guy banged on next door as if there was a fire in the building, I don't think he was expecting my door to open as the poor guy looked so sheepish as I asked him what the hell he was playing at! Maybe I should have went out a few days before!

Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel as its location is second to none, its not as nice as the rosen centre or shingle creek, but its a lot cheaper!

Room Tip: Block A is close to reception

For the 2nd time in 3 years I checked in at the Rosen only to be told that they had overbooked and I was being moved to another hotel which was not as conveniently close to the Convention centre where I was attending Infocomm. I checked my booking up to the day before arriving but was still bumped - I am so furious and will damm this hotel chain for their incompetence or downright dishonesty. They cannot be trusted and management heads should roll, but I fear it is a deep rooted policy throughout the operation against the individual that they think they can get away with it and it starts with the reception manager and hotel manager.

Room Tip: Don't stay at the Rosen unless you have paid full price as a semi guarantee that you won't b...

Stayed in this hotel for two weeks with the hubby while doing a theme park marathon. Hotel is perfectly located on I drive, if you dont have a car the itrolley stop is just over the road and there are plenty of good places to eat a stones throw away.( Would fecommend car hire if you can as heard a lot of peopke complaining about the shuttle buses and itrolley) Millars ale house is a must, decent food and cheap booze! Get the I-trolley a couple stops north and go to ihop for breakfast, if goin for uk I wouldn't recommend paying extra for the breakfast, we did but only ate 2mornings in hotel. Much better food on I drive. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. We had our wedding anniversary while there and Lorraine on front desk was really helpful and organised flowers, champagne and chocs to be in the room when we arrived- suprise from the hubby. I would definately stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing I drive,

We are just back from staying at this hotel for two weeks, and overall our experience was very good, We were staying in "C" block on the second floor, straight across from the kids playpark and most of all very close to reception. It has 3 swimming pools, which were not overly crowded and provided free towels which was great. As previous reviewers have mentioned the maids were knocking on the door sometimes at 7:30 in the morning straight through to the afternoon, which was ok, but woke the kids at times. The shuttles provided by the hotel to Universal studios, seaworld and aquatica were great as they were free, but the biggest annoyance was the £18 dollars per person cost (including kids) to the Disney parks was very annoying. I am aware this hotel is quite a distance away from the Disney parks, but surely a better price for guests could have been negotiated?. We had Unlimited Disney/Universal tickets which included typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach, but only visited the magic kingdom and disneys typhoon lagoon, so a real waste of money. The hassle and cost to get to the disney parks was not worth it as I didn't drive over there, not the hotels fault I know, but just remember it will cost a pretty penny to get to any of the disney parks if you have no car, which will eat into your budget. p.s very noisy air conditioning as well.

Room Tip: We asked for a pool view, but ended up with a view of the kids playpark, which was great for our 8 y...

A really good place to stay in Orlando.Centrally placed for all the main attractions. We had a hire car which was not a necessity as buses ran from the hotel every day,but getting to the Disney resorts was very easy due to the hotels great location.International Drive to junction 72, I-4 west until Disney signposts. Lots of places to eat.Our favourites were the Olive Grove and Tony Romas plus Dominos pizza's for a take away.Tried hotel on our first night but found the food only luke warm, and did not use again. The hotel deli was very useful and we had breakfast there most mornings.Good rooms with fridge.coffe/tea facilities wi-fi (free),and tv.The rooms at the back of the hotel are quite noisy due to the I-4 traffic noise. We moved from the back to the front on the 6th floor and were not bothered for the rest of the two weeks.Opposite the hotel is a 24 hour supermarket which we used daily for water beer foodstuffs etc. Overall we were very pleased with the standard of the hotel and its ideal location.

Room Tip: Keep away from the I-4 as the road is busy 24 hours a day

Myself and my fiancé had a 2 week holiday in Florida and drove from Orlando to Miami to Naples to Clearwater. We splashed out on the other hotels but as we were staying a whole week at Rosen Inn we thought we'd choose a cheaper hotel. It ended up being by far the best hotel out of the 4. In fact probably the best hotel I've stayed in on holiday. Brilliant location on international drive and even has a Starbucks! The 24 hour shop is ideal too. Very helpful staff who arrange excursions for you if you ask. Really do not have one complaint and will definitely be staying here again next year as part of our honeymoon.

When we arrived check in was easy, and we got up to our room, it looked great, however the bath was a little dirty, so we visited reception and requested it be re-cleaned. We went out to grab some food and came back and at around 9pm, a little to our surprise, a gentleman arrived to clean the bath.
Beds were comfy, having the cable tv and free wifi (once we read how to get onto it!!) were a great addition, as were the pools which we were right outside. The noise from the freeway didn't really bother us as we live in London. Good hotel, only slight annoyance was that when we arrived back from the parks at around 3pm, usually after the room had been cleaned, we would then get a knock on the door every day to ask if the room had been cleaned, however nearly each time we were in uncompromising positions as we wanted to be intimate, although I guess we should have put a sign on the door, and it is nice that somebody is checking that we were satisfied!!
Overall a great location, would recommend Johnny Rockets at Pointe Orlando for the best hamburgers, and we really enjoyed our time in Florida and if we go back again, this hotel would be in the serious running for staying in again.

Room Tip: If you are in the blocks furthest away from the reception, the pool that faces the two blocks is the...
