Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We had previously stayed at the Embassy Suites on Jamaican court and had loved it so we decided to book it again this time. I made the reservation through Hotels.com and by mistake I booked the Embassy Suites located on International Drive South instead of the one on Jamaican Court. When we arrived at the one in Jamaican Court (thinking that we were at the right location), the front desk nicely told us that our reservation was actually for the other one but since the Manager's Reception was almost over (which is the hotel's complimentary daily open bar from 5:30-7:30pm), he invited us to come in for a few minutes and have a drink before heading to our hotel. Very nice touch after a few hours of driving! After our drink we headed to the International Drive South property and upon arrival we were told that they could not find our reservation on the system and recommended that we called Hotels.com so they could fax them our reservation info. We called Hotels.com and about 10 min later the issue was resolved, hotels.com sent our reservation info to the hotel and we were allowed to check in. The front desk handed our keys plus a voucher valid for two cocktails at the bar for the trouble. Another nice touch. The next morning I tried to take a shower and we realized that the shower did not have hot water so we called the front desk. They sent someone from maintenance in about 10 min and although they were able to resolve the issue they offered to change our room just to make sure we wouldn't have another issue with the shower. The maintenance person already had with him the keys to our new room plus a voucher for $25 to be used at the restaurant for the trouble. Once again the hotel turned what could've been a negative experience into a positive one just by great customer service. Having traveled to 20 countries, hundreds of cities and having stayed at countless hotels that go from 1 to 5 stars, I realize that errors may occur as we are humans and things are not perfect, which is why I truly appreciate when a hotel makes things right and makes the customer feel welcome. At the end of the day, hotels become our home away from home for a few days and this is how the Embassy Suites made us feel, right at home. Even though is a huge chain hotel, we got the service of a small boutique hotel. The breakfast was complimentary and amazing! They had made to order omelets with lots of ingredients to chose from, they also offered bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes and pancakes or French toast. They had a good assortment of cereals, fruit, yogurts, baked goods, assorted juices (delicious fresh orange juice), coffee and tea. The rooms are huge and super clean! Lots of towels, not too many toiletries but the shampoo was of very good quality, I particularly didn't love the avocado based soap bars because they were almost unscented and didn't make much foam but everything else was great! We had a Kitchenette with mini bar, microwave, coffee machine, a separate living room with a TV and a comfy couch. There was also a table that could be used for dining or as a desk for work. Lots of lamps and electricity outlets throughout the room. Comfy beds with several pillows (hard and soft to pick from), and a big balcony. We had a sink inside the bathroom and one in the room which was great because we both could be using it at the same time. Every night there is a two-hour complimentary (100% free!) open bar for all guests featuring beers, wine, mixed drinks, soft drinks and light snacks such as trail mix, popcorn and chips and salsa. After our positive experience at the Embassy Suites in Jamaican Court and International Drive South, me and my husband have decided to always stay at these hotels in all our future visits to Orlando (we come about 4 times a year).
